Dr. Alan Edward Selkin, MD

Dr. Alan Selkin is an exceptional gastroenterologist with a calming demeanor, thorough approach, and a clear dedication to patient well-being. His surgery center was spotless, and the staff was nothing short of outstanding. CRNA Michelle ensured I was comfortable and at ease throughout the procedure, PACU nurse Eva provided excellent post-op care, pre-op nurse Kelsey was incredibly reassuring, and CNA Stacy was attentive and compassionate. The entire team was diligent, professional, and truly cared about making the experience as smooth as possible. I can’t recommend Dr. Selkin and his staff highly enough—an easy 5-star review!

The whole idea of this procedure is enough to scare the crap out of you haha that's a big joke, anyway Dr. Selkin is a man filled with such joy and warmth he takes all your worries away. His staff are hand picked and as caring as he is. He has been so helpful to me to find a different way to solve my problem. He returns calls, that's big in todays medical world, and always follows up. My husband and I were very lucky to find Dr. Selkin.

I went to Dr. Selkin with an anal fissure. His exam caused me to just about shoot through the roof to which he commented, "yes, you have a fissure!" No doubt he made it a "hole" lot worse. He sent me to a local pharmacy where the pharmacist sold me VERY expensive suppositories that were his own concoction and for which he refused to divulge the ingredients. In desperation I used them; however, when have you purchased a pharmaceutical product that you were not allowed to know the ingredients of? Undoubtedly one would be nitroglycerin (an important ingredient to know about) I have since learned. I was sure there had to be a kick back. When I asked Dr. Selkin if he knew the ingredients he also refused to divulge them to me, unless not even he knew.

This Dr is very professional,and is very nice and has a terrific bedside manner.

I have seen Dr Selkin for past two years for colonoscopy. He is a personable, compassionate physician. He returned my phone calls on at timely basis. I highly recommend him for professional care.

I have been a patient with Dr. Selkin for over 3 years now. He is very kind & caring, and definitely very knowledgeable ! I am in the process of going for my routine endoscopy & colonoscopy and would only have him do it. Over the years that I have been his patient he has helped me feel much better. I am confident I am in good hands.

If you are looking for a good gastroenterologist, don't stop with Dr. Selkin. He is impatient and rude.
