Dr. Alan Jonathon Weinstein, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Weinstein's for 3 years. When I was 29 years old, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Other than feeling I was too young to hear the "C" word, I was confused and terrified. Fast forward after 1-biopsy and 2-back to back surgeries, my primary care physician recommended me to Dr. Weinstein. Him and his staff were caring and calmed all my fears regarding my future treatment. I completed an I-31 Radiation treatment, and after working with Dr. Weinstein, I was able to conceive my second child, without a Thyroid. I have ALWAYS felt that my care has been Dr. Weinstein's number one priority. He includes you in every decision and makes you feel comfortable with any change in medication, etc. I have had such great results, my grandfather (who lives in CA and has Type 2 Diabetes) wants to travel to Colorado to receive care from Dr. Weinstein. Our family has been blessed by Dr. Weinstein's office and medical care.

Dr. Weinstein is a professional and thorough practitioner. He made my wife and I feel much better about my life going forward with Type 2 Diabetes. He discussed treatment options that were exciting.

I went to this provider for thyroid issues several times before I realized how unhelpful and unwilling the doctor is. I requested to have multiple test completed when I had blood work done so I could track my numbers and get a better understanding of the situation. This is what many providers recommend in order to evaluate each patient's unique case. This doctor refused and only requested one single test, stating the others were not medically necessary and that I should find another provider. And that is exactly what I will do. I also agree with other reviews that communication is poor with this office, and the signs at the front desk make it feel very hostile.

Dr. Weinstein and staff are very passionate about what they do. The front office answered the phone when I called and got me set up with a new patience appt within minutes. Not only was Dr. Weinstein extremely professional, he also took the time with me to really understand my health and history. I would highly recommend his practice to anyone wanting more than a general 2-minute thyroid appointment to help you dig deeper and learn about thyroid health. I love the portal as I am able to keep in touch with Dr. Weinsten with a response from I message that I had sent and he responded within minutes. In the digital age, I really think it important that this feature is an option. All around, I had a great experience!

Dictator of a Doctor, unprepared for my visits, does not listen to his patient, not a team player ran useless tests. Would not refill scripts correctly, argumentative

I've been under a doctor’s care for diabetes for quite some time and I have had good care from other doctors, but it wasn't until I met doctor Weinstein that I truly felt like I had somebody that was confident and very interested in making me better and not just treating my symptoms. If you need help with your diabetes, I highly recommend that you see doctor Weinstein!

Dr. Weinstein is an absolutely incredible doctor. He listens genuinely and shows compassion for his patients. You can tell that his is brilliant in his craft and intuitive. He was able to find a resolution to my medical situation after years of other doctors telling me the same old advice. He listened to me, believed in me, and helped me to be a happier and healthier person. I cannot thank him enough. Stop wasting time and make your appointment!: he has given me a better life!

This doctor was totally unprepared for my initial visit. He had not reviewed any of the medical records or lab results from my primary care physician and really had no idea why I was even there. He ran tests that were inconclusive and didn't follow up even after I called to say I was having concerns. Even worse, his office staff has a very elitist attitude. They are extremely rude and confrontational- very very unprofessional. Trying to get a person on the phone is also challenging. 9 out of 10 times the call goes to voice mail and they do not return calls. I wouldn't waste my time with this doctor--too much frustration and aggravation. Trust your health to someone who cares--Dr. Weinstein does not!

This doctor has a hard time refilling scripts. Sent in for 50 refills which medicare denied as too many then sent in a script to the wrong Safeway, as per the pharmacist Medicare part B needs to have it sent to the pharmacy that is going to make the refill. I informed him of his mistakes and what I got back was inform him 2 weeks in advance when I need a refill (50 refills Lol) then they should be able to transfer the script (wrong Safeway). Never did get it straightened out and had to pay out of pocket for what I needed. Do not trust him with your health care needs! Would give him negative readings if possible.

Great staff and A extremely well rounded and knowledgeable endocrinologist !!!
