Dr. Alana Mae Williams, MD

Dr. Williams reallybtook the time to understand what my ailments were and how to treat them. The surgery went well with absolutely no complications. She and her staff were very attentive every step of the way.

Dr. Williams is extremely hard to have an appointment with and follow up appointments are a month apart at a time. She incorrectly diagnosed me with overactive bladder without doing an ultrasound. I was later diagnosed and treated by another physician who diagnosed me with bladder retention and treated and relieved my incontinence. For bladder issues see a board certified urologist which she isn’t.

Dr. Alana Williams is the best doctor that I have ever had. I met with her back in the spring to discuss having a hysterectomy due to severe heavy bleeding with my periods. Prior to meeting with her, I saw 2 other doctors to get their opinions. Neither seemed caring and like they were on my team. The minute I met Dr. Williams, I knew that she was the one. She is very caring, understanding and listens to her patients. I instantly felt at ease. My surgery was scheduled for less than a month later. It went great! Within a month, I was able to make plans again and go on vacations with my husband! Prior to surgery, I had about a week to a 10 day window where I was able to do that. She helped me get my life back and I will be forever grateful! I highly recommend her to anyone else needing help. Thank you so much Dr. Williams!

I have seen this Dr a few times hoping it would get better. It did not she still did not listen to me she was very rushed to get thru my appointment. She did not express concern or seem to care. Take the time and find a different dr.

This is our second experience with Dr. Alana Williams and Women's PSC of New Mexico. Dr. Williams arrived in the examiniation room without any knowledge of why we were there to see her in spite of the fact that it was a follow-up for a procedure. She did not examine me and asked only one question. However, they were very careful to bill the insurance company. We are moving to another provider.

As a 60-yr-old woman I've had a lot of GYN appointments. FINALLY ... a woman gynecologist! ... Dr. Alana Williams listens, is caring, personable yet professional and I didn't have to spend half my day in the office! Professional staff made me feel welcome without being condescending! HIGHLY recommend. M
