Dr. Alanna Marie Lumar, MD

Met with her back in 2015. She was the first to discover a serious illness that has since been resolved. I am not sure the average physician would have diagnosed this or took the time to investigate. She is also great with follow-up and communications. AFC is fortunate to have her.

Very thorough and very observant. Her efforts around examination and questioning led to a referral to a specialist. In turn, a diagnosis and 1 year later I am very grateful.

First, Dr. Beane doesn't schedule appointments so if a patient has to wait it isn't because she isn't being efficient. I was sadden to learn that she would no longer be my primary care doctor at the VA Women's Clinic in Nashville. One of the very best doctors I have ever been seen by since been affiliated with the military and as a veteran for 10 years. So sorry to see her leave. Exceptional patient care the entire time I was under her care.

From 2009 to 2013, Dr. Beane was my primary Care Physician through the VA at the Nashville Women's Clinic. She was the kindest and most determined doctor I can imagine. I became extremely ill in the fall of 2009. Dr. Beane began treating me and worked hard to find out my problem. At all times, Dr. Beane was kind and gentle. She has an excellent bed-side manner. When she needed to talk to me about blood work or what-ever, she call personally. I couldn't dream of having any other doctor and was devastated when I learned she was no longer at my clinic. She was my crutch when I was at my medically worst time of my life. I can't praise her enough.

First, I had to wait over 45 minutes to see her. Then she was clearly rushed and said she appreciated that I was an "easy appointment." This was my "new patient" appointment and she spent less than 10 minutes with me, listened to my lungs and heart that's it. She was trying to walk out the door and I told her about my sleep issues and she told me to "hang in there." And rushed out the door. My first appointment in over 2 years with a doctor and in 10 minutes I learned my heart and lungs sound great. I highly do not reccomend her to anyone.
