Dr. Albert Gerard Karam, MD

My little pride and joy has been a patient of Dr Karems since he was 1 and he is now turning 5. Amazing Doctor, caring and his staff are great. I really lucked out with him. Would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Albert Karam saw both of my kids from the birth to Adult. He and his staff are very thorough and gear care toward prevention and wellness with great advice to new parents. He will not overprescribe medications. He and his staff were wonderful in cases of emergency and personal follow-up. Very accurate in diagnosis. His referrals are outstanding.

Tread with caution with this practice if your children present with any complicated health issues particularly if they have food allergies, gut and / or autism spectrum disorders. This doctor is completely misinformed as is his staff. Brought my child in numerous x for rashes, bleeding eczema on his face, hives, unceasing crying/screaming. We were told that most kids grow out of this. This worsened as we were told to intro new foods. We suggested that perhaps our son had a food allergy/(ies). Even upon dx of numerous food allergies, Staff repeatedly recommended rx & foods he was potentially anaphylactic to. We'd ask them to get his chart b4 every phone call so that they wouldnt rec something our child was allergic to. Also, we suspected that our child had autism. He told us that he did not since he hit normal milestones and was extremely verbal. Subsequently, I self-referred our child to ECI early childhood intervention & requested a copy of our files for a second opinion. Dr. K… immediately dropped us from his practice without telling us. We found out that we had been dropped when we called to have our sick child who was running a 102 degree fever seen by Dr. K's office. they refused to treat him. fast forward...Our child has been Dx with autism, multiple food allergies and EOE which is severe inflammation of the esophagus. If only he had listened to us, our child may not have suffered so long!

He is the best in the west. We love him!!!

Child has severe allergies...Dr Karam failed to recognize the significance of the allergies as well as recommend the wrong treatment protocol. Additionally, staff repeatedly recommended treatments that my son was deathly allergic to (anaphylactic). The staff never had my child's chart in front of them!!! RUN FROM THIS PRACTICE!

Doctor Al - The kiddies pal .... Dr. Karam is an all around good guy that happens to be an outstanding kids doctor. No punches are ever pulled if he has to tell you something, but it is done the right way ..... always in a caring way.
