Dr. Marr was concise, relevant with my questions and concerns. He trusted me and knowing my body, but he took the time and due diligence to make sure that my injury was in the healing process. I would pass his name to anyone needing help in the orthopedic care.

Let me tell you about surgery it seemed to have gone well but after 5 months my ankle is worst than ever. Dr. Marr is nice enough but seems like he could not care less about your pain or your ability to walk without a lot of pain. I made a big mistake by letting him to surgery on me.

I was impressed with Dr Marr and his staff. Dr Marr saw me the second time for surgery eval. He knew all about me and why I was there. He answered all my questions and told me what to expect and not just what I wanted to hear. I was also pleased with his assistant, he knew why I was there and knew all about me. That in itself tells me how well his office is run. I feel secure in their care.

Dr. Marr is an outstanding surgeon and a personable clinician. I trust him and think he really considers each patient and what kind of TLC they might need. I appreciate that he is very honest and caring.

Dr. Marr did a great job on my foot surgery. His bedside manner could improve but to me it is most important about the surgery and how it was preformed.

I was having stabbing neuropathic pain radiating from the middle of the foot down through my great toe. On the pain scale of 1 to 10 it was an 11. My joint space and mobility of the joint was basically non-existent as I also had a developing bunion. On my visit with Craig Johnson, his PA, and Dr. Marr, they were in agreement that a metatarsal fusion and bunionectomy will fix the problem. Since I couldn't bend the great toe in the joint where it connects to the foot, I wasn't going to lose any function. The surgery went great. I had no post-op pain and only took the pain medication for two days. I have no hesitation now on having the other foot done several months from now. One note of caution, even though some activities may seem non-threatening while wearing the post surgical boot, you may need to put them off until you are in a regular shoe because it is a rigid boot. Five days prior to my six week post-op appointment, I yanked a garden hose while wearing the boot, and everything… from the knee up turned. So now I am being treated for a possible torn meniscus in my knee. And, oh by the way, Dr. Marr can treat that too because he practices Sports Medicine. Not only do I highly recommend Dr. Marr and Craig Johnson, we are blessed to have them in Wilmington, NC.

I had pain in my left foot. Dr. Marr gave me a cortisone shot that eliminated the pain.
