Dr. Albert Pearsall, MD

I was a patient of Dr Pearsall and in the year 2001 I had to have right knee surgery first! He absolutely had no bedside manner as well as wanted to see me as a research patient. Well after 5 hour of surgery he comes in my hopital room and tells me that Mr. Daw, I don't know how well your knee is going to be in the next 5 to 10 years. And I said excuse me? Well then why did you do the surgery man???? He didn't have an answer and so a month went by and he refused to see me any longer and it hurts so bad even to this very day and this Dr doesn't care if u hurt an has absolutely no sympathy for what's wrong with you, but if anyone reads this please be sure to let your spouse do your surgery because I'm positive that he/she is more qualified for surgery than Pearsall can hope to.be in a dozen lifetimes! So for future reference and please take this advice do not and I repeat DON'T GO TO THIS SURGEON for any ailments you may have!!!

I am appalled by the care that my grandfather has received since his surgery. It took the office 3 weeks to get physical therapy started, his follow up visit a week after partial knee replacement surgery he sat in the waiting room for over 3 hours, after surgery he couldn't breathe & I took him to urgent care twice and had to call an ambulance to take him to the e.r. during a hurricane. ALL this time we were calling them constantly. Today of all things he has taken the last of his pain medication, which he called 3 days last week to tell them it was running out and he will have to wait! Can anyone say negligent care? I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy!

If I can give dr. Piersall a comment I would give him a zero because his bedside manners are no good and he speaks to his patients any type of way he chooses he has not done surgery and he will never

Dr Pearsall took me on as a new patient when my family suddenly relicated to Alabama from Michigan in late 2004. I had already had 3 knee surgeries in MI & my Drs felt i needed a k ee replacement at 44 when we moved to AL No local drs would consider this or give me any other options. Until my P.T. suggested dr.pearsall. He did a meniscus transplant which i was part of the clinical trials and for 12 years been very succesful in light of being told by other drs i would have to live with knee pain until i was 55 to have kne repacement done. Thank God for Dr Pearsall, he is amazing! He takes the time to explain thinga to you and takes the time neededto answer your questions and make sure you understand what will be done. Best doctor I've ever had.

Please everybody I know and don't know I would not use this Dr if I was dying and if he was on fire I would not put water on him, I would let him suffer and burn, cause basically that is was he has done to me.

The office, like most in Mobile, is severely overloaded. Wait times are long but the service is top notch. Dr. Pearsall is extremely knowledgable and a very capable surgeon.

Dr.Pearsall did both my knee replacements. The first went well, the second did not. I awoke to blood in my hair, and more pain than the first surgery. To make a long story short, I went to see Pearsall for my post-op, and he treated me very unkindly. I suffered for 8 weeks with this severe pain, ended up at the ER one night. I had an xray and it was discovered that my femur had been broken during surgery. All of this time I suffered needlessly because of this doctor. I wouldn't recommend him to a snail.

Spent very little time with me during my appts. Rarely actually examined my knee during visits over a 4yr period of seeing him. I would not recommend this doctor. Ended up having to go to Birmingham for my 3rd knee surgery.

The only thing that I think is not good is the wait time before seein the doctor in the office...
