What an incredible experience. I am a snow bird, but heard good things about Dr. Smolyar and chose to have my surgery in Ft. Myers, FL. I am one week out of monovision cataract surgery and am thrilled. I can read the tiniest print on bottles or recipes AND can count the leaves on trees quite far away. Computer and reading are great as well as distance. Tested 20/25 this morning. Amazing results and I could throw away my contact lenses and retire my glasses permanently. I recommend Dr. Smolyar and his practice 100%. I had one on one patient support throughout the process.

I am very pleased with my results of my first cataract surgery. I have my second eye scheduled for next week. The staff in the surgical unit were so kind….i was extremely nervous when I came in.. My only issue was I was scheduled originally for 9:40 AM, they called me that morning to ask me to come at 11:00 instead. I arrived at 10:55 and signed in. They did not call me in until 12:20…a very long wait for someone who was anxious. Once I was taken it was a nice experience and I was given very good care. Although I was very annoyed of the delay (seeing many others coming in after me and being taken care of way before me), I am still giving a 5 star because I am happy with the outcome. I would certainly refer others to Dr. Smolyar.

This was my last visit since both my cataracts were completed. The surgery and post op were flawless. My eye sight is amazing. Day. Smolyar assures you are comfortable, listens to your questions and truly makes sure the surgery went as he expected based on my eyes. I was so worried but it was all worth it. His staff are so thorough. No wait times, no crowded office. Just smooth. I would recommend this provider to take care of your eyes.

My experience with cataract removal was completely painless. I could not have more confidence in Dr. Smolyer. . He is professional and knowledgeable. He put me completely at ease. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I will be returning when my other eye is ready for the same procedure.

Dr. Smolyar is the best eye doctor we have ever had. Dating back to when we arrived here in Southwest Florida 20 years ago we have been to five or six physicians for annual exams but never had the confidence we have in Dr. Smolyar. He is thorough and explains everything in terms you can understand. I was told 20 years ago that I had cataracts and when I started going to Dr. Smolyar a few years ago. He convinced me that I would be the one who would determine when they should be done. I noticed a little difference this past year and decided to have the surgery this year and it was a fabulous experience with no pain or regret. Dr. Smolyar and his entire team are the BEST and I highly recommend him to anyone searching for a new eye experience.
