He is very thorough in accumulating information, and kindly listens to a patient's symptoms. He has a clear understanding that an individual may not respond to 'one size fits all' medicine. His approach helped save my husbands life with an early diagnosis of cancer. His manner may be reserved, but he has a dry sense of humor that has lightened tense moments. He's worth it.

Dr. Acosta is one of the best diagnosticians I have ever had. He is also an excellent listener & communicator. He treats & expects his adult patients to be adults. This entails being full partners in their medical care. Dr. Acosta is not cautious about asking for specialist input to ensure his approaches to complex conditions are sound. Dr. Acosta is caring, but not mothering.

One morning as I prepared to leave for my office, I began to vomit blood. I quickly arranged to get to Dr Acosta's office but he was not there. His assistant sent me to the emergency room of New York Hospital. I waited for 10 hours to get admitted. During this time Dr Acosta was unreachable. The next morning I required 2 1/2 units of blood. Dr Acosta never bothered to visit me or check up on me He only sees you at his convenience which is rare. This guy should not be allowed to practice medicine.
