Dr. Alberto Ramos

He and his staff have always treated me promptly and with curtesy. Dr. Ramos spends time explaining tests that have been completed, the progress of my condition and I leave with a good feeling about my general health.

I was in several hospital battling autoimmune hepatitis. Dr. Ramos was a resident when I met him at the emergency room at the VA hospital. I was vomiting blood but my vital were perfect, I was non symptomatic. He could have just gave me nausea meds to stop the vomitting but he said he wanted to make sure it wasn't something serious and goin that I had blood vessels busting on the inside of my esophagus everywhere. He went in and spent a few hrs putting tiny rubber bands on each and every tiny vessel to stop the bleeds. He drained 8 liters of blood from my stomach. I was literally hours from death and he saved me. I have followed up with him ever since and he is always very caring & looking out for me and my family.

Dr. Ramos has the worst bedside manner and I mean the worst! My experience with him was a nightmare, he was a flat out BULLY... Dr. Ramos was rude to my husband, rude to me and made me feel so horrible that I would dread it when he would come to my room, I would shut down with his accusations, it took another Dr. to put him in his place and tell him not to be judgemental and hard on me.I wish that he and alot of medical staff would realize, that kind of behaviour worstens a patient's health and encouragement saves lives it really makes a difference, I know, I had great doctors and nurses that encouraged me and it made me want to get better! But then the horrifing bedside manner would just make me shut down and want to give up. I got a second chance at LIFE thanks to the TEAM of doctors at Banner Good Sam-Transplant Center. I give credit were credit is due.

Dr. Ramos saved my life in 2005. I was incorrectly diagnosed by a team of high ranking Naval GI's and Hepatologists just 3 months prior to meeting Dr. Ramos in the Emergency Room. I had been battling my rare liver disease for half a decade, seeing supposedly the best drs in the field. I realize that my condition was extremely rare, but Dr. Ramos was able to diagnose and treat me after having me as an ER patient for 20 minutes. The man literally saved my life! His bedside manner?? Think of the old tv shows where the doctors would come visit patients just to make sure they were okay. I have been in the hospital for ailments not related to my liver disease and some how Dr. Ramos catches wind that I am in the hospital, and there he is. Very concerned and caring ALL the time. My family adores this man and his partners. They are honest and caring and they always go the extra distance to make sure you get the care you need and more. A+++++

Dr. Ramos is extremely unprofessional with a horrible bedside manner. He was very rude to my husband and didn't want to spend any time with us. Frankly, I'm surprised that there are people that think he's "adorable". We were even talking to him and he wasn't listening. If you want a good doctor, please, do not go to this jerk.

Dr. Ramos was wonderful with my wife. By far one the the best experiences we've had with a GI doctor in the valley.

Not sure what his skills are (none demonstrated thus far) but his interest in and concern for patient well being is low. His manners are quite crude for a specialist.If your insurance gives you a choice, keep looking. There are many doctors who at least try to maintain the appearance of interest in patient well being. I did and I am much happier.

Dr. Ramos is a very adorable, smart, efficient, caring Dr. He listens and takes him time with his patients. I appreciate his advice and his opionion. I have great respect for Dr. Ramos. I feel confident in his medical decisions while under his care. I think he is one of the gentlest, sweetest doctors I have ever seen. I see good things coming his way. Hurry to schedule with him as in near time he will be booked so far out, that he may need to refer new patients else where.
