Dr. Albertus Botes Van Zyl, MD

Dr. Van Zyl has been my primary care physician for more than 20 years. When I visit his office I feel like I am his only patient and that he knows everything there is to know about my medical history and conditions. The level of service he provides is exemplary.

Dr. VanZyl has been our Primary Care Physician for 6 years, since moving to Florida. We wish we could have had him during the many years we lived up North. I cannot imagine why anyone would rate him low, with negative comments. He takes whatever time you need, will discuss whatever you feel you need to talk about. Does he refer you to specialists if he doesn't feel he is the appropriate physician for a specific problem? Yes! Thank goodness!! This is something our former primary care physicians never did. By the time they "gave up", the problem had progressed to where more treatment (and more expensive treatment) was needed than if it had been correctly addressed in the first place. Thank you Dr. VanZyl!

If you want a Dr who hardly speaks to you, wants to refer you to several other Dr.'s so they can help you and wants you to come back in 2 days when he won't have any more info I'm assuming so he can bill you for another office visit....then this Dr is for you.

Dr. Van Zyl was my doctor when I lived in Fort Myers. In my list of pros and cons about moving from Ft. Myers, having to find a different doctor was a con. I wish he'd move to Tampa! I never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen. He was the absolute best. No one I've seen since has come close.
