Recently named as Medical Director of the Northwell Health Lung Transplantation Program, Dr. Aldo T. Iacono is a national thought leader in the field of lung transplantation and advanced lung disease. He He has made major contributions to clinical and scientific developments in lung transplantation. Dr. Iacono previously developed and led the lung transplantation programs at University of Pittsburgh and the University of Maryland. At Northwell Health he will bring together a multidisciplinary team to provide the best clinical care for patients with advanced lung disease. Dr. Iacono will also lead research in lung transplantation and will train future clinician-scientists in this area. In addition to lung transplantation, his clinical area of focus includes Advanced lung Disease Management, Immunosuppressive Drug Management and Interventional Bronchoscopy. I've been to 10 pulmologists in the past 3years and Dr Iacono is absolutely the best .Truly a Good Samaritan Doctor.

My confidence in Dr Iacono's expertise is unquestioned ... his commitment to my overall health is his primary concern ... lung transplant experience was seamless ... and aftercare has been outstanding ... cannot thank the Dr enough for my amazing recovery and ongoing good health ... would highly recommend Dr Iacono to others needing this type of care ...

Dr. Iacono examined me before my first lung transplant. I have now had a single lung transplant, and subsequently a double lung transplant. After 20 months, Dr. Iacono still constantly monitors my progress, and has always been available for telephone or personal consultation. His technical expertise, and caring attitude, are unparalleled. He is incredibly patient, explaining nuances of anti rejection theory, and monitoring medications and lab work. He is a great practitioner. Having undergone numerous bronchoscopies and biopsies, I have concluded that he is a gifted and talented practitioner, at the top of his field. Because of Dr. Iacono, I look forward to a long and fruitful life.

Dr. Iacono is an amazing doctor in that he makes his patient's problems his own in such a way that is extraordinary in a physician. He is a brilliant doctor who is always thinking of solving problems and caring for his patients in a very personal and attentive manner. He is not only a brilliant practictioner as well as a kind and very likeable man. The lung program at the University of Maryland would not be the same without his dedicated care of patients and his research in furthering the advancement of treatment of lung disease.

I have been a patient of Dr. Iacono for over 17 years. He was on the transplant team that did my first lung transplant. He is a great doctor who actually cares about his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Iacono.

Dr. Iacono is one of the rare doctors who cares very much for his patients. His knowledge is blessing from God, his wanting to do best for his patients is extraordinary gift. I have been with critical condition treated by him. He is very good diagnosing diseases, good at searching for unknown and referring to right doctor if it is not his speciality for people with multiple diseases like myself. I feel he is the best doctor I have know so far. He listens well and tries to solve the problem you are facing.
