Dr. Alejandro Alva

Scheduled an appointment, couldn't get in for 2 weeks, then they call me the night before my appointment to tell me that I couldn't be seen for another 2 weeks. They don't care about the mental health of their patients to be messing with people's heads like this.

Excellent communication and very understanding...

My mother is a patient of Dr. Alejandro Alva and he himself is great. It the staff that work on medication Authorization that don't do their job right. My mother has been out of a particular medication for over 2 weeks. Over a month ago we were told they were working on a Authorization and still have not resolved anything. They don't return calls at least out of courtesy to let you know the status. We have to always be the ones calling.

Dr Alex Alva is wonderful! I would not have been able to prove my disability without him. My only complaint is that whenever I need help getting my meds I have problems. Not with Dr Alva, but with the person in charge of medications. I've been out of one med now for almost a week and still no response from this staff member.

Dr. Alva treatment and everything was the best thing that happened to my sister. When my sister saw Dr. Alva, she was below zero in everything, now, thanks to his care, she's doing great. I am so thankful for him in every way he helped my sister. It's very rare these days to find so one like him that cares so much about his patients and actually want them to get better. I can't thank him enough for what he did to help my sister and we owe him a lot for her progress.

appointment canelled trice forced to see a nurse practitioner ,just a money macine stay clear of this place it is toxic.

Great doctor knows his stuff very friendly and professional and understanding. The wait for the appointment was a long time but was worth the wait... Staff very professional and really sweat and very hopeful.... very busy office but you cant complain because its a mental behavioral office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alejandro Alva for several years. He frequently has his unfriendly an rude office staff cancel appointments just hours ahead of time. To make matters worse he makes his patients wait 45 to 60 minutes in the waiting room. His arrogance and total lack of bedside manner demonstrates a total lack of respect for his patients. While his time is important so is the time of his patients. I will no longer allow him to treat me needs.

I would reccomed him highly to anyone!!!!

This doctor has now cancelled on me twice in a row (always via a staff member), the most recent on the night before my appointment so he could attend a meeting. The staff member then said she could schedule me with another doctor. When I asked what the specialty was for the other doctor, the staff member confessed that she wasn't actually a psychiatrist, but was a nurse practitioner. Would any of you feel comfortable getting a neuropsychiatric condition diagnosed by a nurse practitioner?FYI, this doctor only works two days per week, so when he cancels (which seems to be his M.O.), you have to wait a week or two before you can be rescheduled.
