Dr. Alejandro Javier Miranda-Sousa, MD

Very good doctor but he is forced to make appointments I believe 10-15 min. apart and it is not ebough for him. That is why patients complain about delays causing long time waiting. I visited him multiply times because of prostate cancer and he did everything very professional. But, you know, nothing and nobody is perfect. After dr. Sousa palpated a lesion on the prostate he ordered CT and MRI scans. I still do not know what the reason was to order CT scan. MRI test report gave all information needed and this is what dr. Sousa take time to look at. I am absolutely sure he did not look at CT scan report at all. If he did, he would notice that report, apart of cancer related finding, said " Inguinal hernia present, only fat". He did not tell me this. 19 months late I had a significant problem because the hernia became quite big and I underwent a surgery. At that time small intestines were protruding trough inguinal canal on way to my right scrotum. Nineteen months earlier the hernia… with sure was many many times smaller. That is it. Who cares I was irradiated with at least 15 millisiverts unnesseserily.

Not a bad dr. But the wait time is inexcusable. Limit your patients. I am sure you can schedule better so people don’t wait and a waiting room of patients is not consistent with COVID guidelines. In the dr defense I have been to 2 urologists and both have no regard for the patients time and make them wait a long time.

Dr. Miranda-Sousa is an outstanding, skilled doctor and a caring, compassionate person. He treated me with patience and empathy, made sure I understood everything about my treatments, and consistently made me feel like my health and my needs were his main concern. Yes, he is busy and there are times you have to wait, but when he is with a patient, his complete focus is on the patient - with a level of sincere care, concern, and knowledge that are important parts of his thoroughly exemplary medical practice. Dr. Miranda-Sousa is the finest physician of any specialty that I have encountered in my lifetime, and I feel blessed and grateful to have been his patient.

Expect a wait but you will like Dr Miranda - He is very good

After reading many of them you realize they are from one or two people. This doctor is amazing. Period!

2 appointments -first visit 2 and 1/2 hour wait - second and last visit so far 52 minute wait for an 8 AM appt

My northern Urologist does the same thing. It is pretty standard practice

He was right, they handed me a cup when I walked in. Better to hold it
