Dr. Alessandra M Tachauer, MD

I've had an encounter with her. She is unbelievably arrogant, rude, negligent, unhelpful, uncooperative so called doctor ever. She has absolutely no knowledge about human being and her profession. She manipulated in my MR writing lies about me so it could fit her storyline, she deliberately wrote that I'm paranoid because I challenged her knowledge. She left me without medication and without doctor when she refused to work with me. Right now Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations is looking at her case. She might loose license. Please avoid that woman She is dangerous.

I have depression and anxiety and years ago I was prescribed Bupropian (Slow Release = 24 hour) 200 mg for just the depression. I had lost insurance for a while and was not able to pay for my medication until a few months ago; which is where I was assigned to Dr. Tauchauer. She had prescribed me the Bupropian (Slow Relase) but it was only for 12 hours. She had also prescribed me Buspirone which was suppose to treat my anxiety, but I have tried Buspirone in the past and I told her that medication did not work for me; she didn't listen. For two weeks, after I had picked up my prescription, I had called four times (all went to voicemail or just hung up) and left three messages and never received a phone call back. My advice is to not have Dr. Tachauer as your doctor unless you want complications with your medication.

I have been seeing Dr Alessandra Tachauer for over 7 years and I am considering myself blessed to be her patient. The care, the empathy, the concern and understanding that Dr Tachauer showed me over so many years are qualities that define my psychiatrist.

She is unethical and unprofessional. She distorts the truth. She slandered my name and exploited my condition. I am sure she treats some patients nicely but I am a patient and I have evidence of this exploitation. She has caused me great difficulties in my professional life. She has caused me to doubt people in her profession. She does not like to be challenged, or you as a intelligent consumer to have a differing opinion. She has caused complications in my life. If anyone else has this experience with this doctor please blog. I'm sure she is not this way with all patients or she wouldn't be able to have a medical license. She herself is an untruthful doctor and she displays erratic behavior. If it's possible I would give this doctor less than 1 star for her rating and I would give her a negative rating to the nth degree. She is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde. I am only rating one star, because I was not sure if I could submit this review without marking any stars. She is not even… worthy of this one star. I feel she is a danger to the profession as well as to some patients

My experience with Dr T has been one of the most helpful and comforting one I have ever had. Dr T is one of the most knowledgeable doctors , with a friendly and professional attitude, available , and ready to help anytime . I want to thank her for giving my life back. It is a privilege to be her patient.
