Dr. Alex Hartnett

Alex Hartnett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with diverse clients and needs. They have worked in many settings and are passionate about supporting adolescents and adults to find their own unique solutions and build the skills to feel confident in responding to anything life throws their way. Alex has worked with many different needs, and specializes in depression, anxiety, queer and transgender issues, attachment, trauma, and life transitions. Alex completed their Masters of Social Work (MSW) at Boston College. Alex understands that each person is unique, so therapy should be just as personalized. Because of this, Alex uses multiple treatment approaches to best support each client, pulling from dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing to tailor therapy to each client.
