Dr. Alexa G. David, MD

Dr. Alexa David is a pediatrician practicing at Intermountain Health’s Southridge Clinic in Riverton, Utah. She supports patients and their families in Riverton, Draper, Herriman, and other surrounding communities, supporting growing patients and families and partnering with them to ensure their health and safety. 

Working with children inspires her to be the best version of herself, personally and professionally. Respect is a critical player in her practice, and Dr. David strives to treat patients with the same care that she would want for her daughter. Her interests are newborn care and breastfeeding medicine.

Dr. David earned her degree in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from Wesleyan University, where she captained the field hockey team. After college, she taught middle school science in Brooklyn through Teach for America and obtained a Master of Arts in education. She then pursued her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College, aiming for a career in …pediatrics. Dr. David completed her pediatric residency at the University of Utah/Primary Children's Hospital and now practices Intermountain Health.

Outside of work, the New Jersey native enjoys Utah's great outdoors with her husband and daughter. She is an avid hiker and backpacker, completing hikes such as the Long Trail in Vermont, the Colorado Trial in Colorado, the West Highland Way in Scotland, and the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal. In the winter, Dr. David loves snowshoeing and snowboarding. When she's not exploring, she enjoys cooking, baking, and gardening.
