Dr. Alexander J Asch, MD

Dr. Asch is extremely rude, arrogant talks down to parents and worst of all misdiagnosed my child, which led to an undiagnosed strep infection for 6 months. He insisted my son did not have a strep infection. But guess what, he was 100% wrong. One simple blood test was all it would have taken. This led to my child developing the autoimmune disease PANDA, severe anxiety and depression. My child has required 2 inpatient hospital stays at mental health facilities and has attempted suicide once. Please, Please stay away from this incompetent physician at all costs. Nothing is more important than your childs health. Also misdiagnosed a wrist fracture that my son sustained. Again he insisted that it was not broken and did not order an Xray. After a week of my son's pain getting worse, he did order an Xray and guess what. He did have a fracture. fortunately he recovered from this fully with no long term effects. Unfortunately now nearly 2 years out from bringing my son 4 times to Dr. Asch… in a 2 week period, he still is suffering from severe anxiety and depression due to his undiagnosed strep infection

Dr. Asch is great. Incredibly responsive and attentive to the children. He is simply the best.

He has done a great job looking after all my 3 kids since 1990.

Dr. Asch is an outstanding clinician. I feel completely confident to have my children in his care because he is extremely knowledgeable and always makes an accurate diagnosis.

Not all doctors are good! Dr. Asch, fortunately, is one of the best. His diagnoses are quick and accurate, and my children have had quite a range of illnesses. He gets right down to business, and that is what I want. After an experience with a pedi who missed some pretty obvious illnesses, I want someone who "nails it". Dr. Asch is that doctor. I don't need verbal reassurance and chit chat time with him. (And I am a chatterbug.) You won't get that. But we therefore rarely have to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes to see him. I have heard other moms complain of his bedside manner. However, if you pay close attention, you'll catch his quiet, wry sense of humor. Most importantly, your children will be in great care.

This Doctor should have a neon sign and a drive through window in his office. They are the most money hungry doctors I have ever seen. They charge for everything from a transfer of records and god forbid you dont bring your copay their "receptionist" will drag you back in their waiting room which is packed to capacity regardless of time of day. He spends no more than 10 minutes a patient and has a terrible bedside manner for a peditrician,office staff is terrible,Dr needs to revist why he's supposed to be in practice. If he wanted to make a million a year he should've gone to law school. Shame on him.

Dr. Asch is simply the best pediatrician that I could ask for. He is professional and excels at what he does. He is always available to answer questions - every time I've ever called, the receptionist places me on hold and he picks up the phone within minutes! He is at his office 7 days a week, so no matter when I have a question or concern, I can always reach him.I cannot say enough about Dr. Asch... whether I'm bringing my newborn in and have a million questions, or I'm dragging my 8 year old in and want to get "in and out" as soon as possible, he is always accomodating.
