I had gastric sleeve 5 years ago. After having issues with constant vomiting and severe GERD. I followed up with a new surgeon and what he discovered was a hot mess of a sleeve. Why would anyone do that? Cancel the surgery of there's complications or you can't do it. By no means was my sleeve a proper sleeve, he left the top part of my stomach (where my band had previously been) untouched. The surgeon described it as an apple un top of a banana. Why did he never mentioned this to me? I woke up from surgery vomiting blood. He only said he was unable to make the sleeve as small as he wanted to so I needed to be mindful of my diet. After questioning him he said my spleen was nip during surgery and he had to concentrate in stopping the bleeding. He basically didn't complete the sleeved and left me with structure and years of gastritis and severe reflux. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.

Dr. Barkan is without a doubt a true professional as is his staff as well. His office and facility Is Immaculately taking care of which means a lot to people looking to have a surgical procedure. I am at the beginning of my journey with Dr. Barkan and everything has been great so far.
