Dr. Chavez has been my Primary Care Dr. ever since we moved to Swansboro 15 years ago... He is wonderful! Takes time to see and listen to you. Very professional and caring ????

I feel Dr. Chavez has one goal in mind...get you out quickly and get paid. He didn't listen to anything I said, just rushed me out with a prescription for an antidepressant...because I have insomnia. He pushes pills quickly without even considering the problem at hand.

Receptionist is rude. (Stephanie) You can never call without being put on hold. They can NEVER seem to do follow up paper work for a referral or can either Dr Chavez or his staff get a simple prescription over to the pharmacy just next door without several calls. I had to go back and get it my self once. I'm finding a new PCM Dr Chavez due to your staff.

I would never suggest this clinic to anyone. They seemed to have placed quantity of patients over quality of care. My first major issue was when they forgot to call and inform me of potentially life threatening test results and simply sent me a referral (which I assumed was for a routine mammogram). The poor receptionist at the referral clinic had to be the one to tell me I had abnormal test results and needed a cancer preventing procedure. The second instance was when yet again I had abnormal test results, this time I was informed by the clinic of this, but almost one month later find out that the doc has yet to even put in for a referral! I am losing my health ins in less than a month and the clinic staff has repeatedly been told of this and the urgency to get the referral in so my condition can be treated before I lose coverage. Guess if they don't get the referral submitted in time I'll just have to beg the government to help cover medical costs when this develops into… cervical cancer in a few years.

i like that he is very nice and caring he spends the time to explain what is wrong with you and how he thinks it should be taken care of. i have never felt rushed with him. what i didnt like is the fact the office staff is so rude and unpleasant to be around. they gossip about patients around other patients and treat you like ur beneath them. the only reason i continue going there is because the doctors are so nice and the wait time is way shorten then to go onbase.
