Spent a lot of time answering all of my questions.

Dr. Hawkins is very attentive and focused. He listens well.

He cares about his patients and is a great surgeon.

I have read the recent reviews, and after waiting 2 mos to see this guy, could not agree more. He was totally dismissive, had it all figured out before walking through the exam room door. I had to fill out pages of forms, make a preliminary appt with a NP, again answering the 150 questions, only to get told to go see the surgeon, who then sent in a student who again drilled me about history and symptoms, which I provided ad nauseum. My personal Dr sent endoscopy report a full 2 mos in advance, and he never even looked at it until I forced the issue. I've had these issues for 30 years, requiring transfusions, and surgery in the past. After my symptoms reappeared worse than ever, ie, heavy bleeding, excruciating pain, and other clinical data presented to him, his response was, I didn't do this test, take Metamucil and come see me in 8 weeks. I wouldn't go see this guy again if he was the last Dr on earth. Rude and dismissive is putting it mildly. Vanderbilt Clinic, I'm really… starting to lose my faith in your capabilities.

I went to this doctor for a fitsula. He acted like it would be a standard procedure. Seton for ninety day then surgery. Well then months later he's still putting off the surgery and continuing to milk the wallet . I've done a ton of research on this condition. The things he was doing is completely unnecessary. He doesn't listen to you,never remembers anything you discuss with him. Simply just doesn't care . Its obvious his main concern is money. I could go on forever but that's my 2 cents..

He was very rude, very disrespectful, did not have any bedside manors. The way he acting toward me I would not allow him to do any kind of surgery on me, much less take a piece of my colon out.
