After a 45 minute wait, I was taken back to the examination room. When I asked the nurses not to tell me what I weigh, they laughed at me, which was pretty upsetting, as the reason I didn't want to know was that I am recovering from an eating disorder and I'm trying to not obsess over the number on the scale. A few minutes later, a man I'm assuming was the doctor walked in, said "What's the problem?" and gave me about three seconds to answer before walking out again. He didn't say hello or introduce himself, so he could've been some random creep off the streets, for all I knew. Anyway, he didn't ask me any other questions or give me the opportunity to ask him questions. He did a quick strep culture, told me that what I had was viral, suggested I try throat lozenges, and sent me on my way. He ignored me when I tried to tell him about my other symptoms (vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, abnormal bruising, etc.) and treated me like an idiot who's never heard of a cough drop. I… should've stayed home on my couch. I want my $20 copay back.
