Dr. Alexander Kent Meininger, MD

Dr. Meininger performed a total knee replacement (TKA) for me 7 months ago. As a senior sports enthusiast of 67 years, I’m happy to share that I am back in the saddle, riding my road bike, gravel grinding, mountain biking, alpine skiing, back country skiing and hitting the gym. Thank you for this wonderful present Dr. Meininger!

Friendly, efficient office staff. They spend time talking with you. You do not feel rushed. Dr Meininger spends time with you and does not rush you. Answers all your questions. They do follow up calls to make sure you are doing well and don’t have questions

Dr. Meininger and his staff are amazing! Unfortunately I fell and tore my rotator cuff and biceps tendon in my left shoulder. A year and a half later I did the same thing to my right shoulder, but worse. I was seen immediately after each fall and in both cases I required surgery. The whole process from start to finish was incredible. The surgeries went well and I was able to return to my job as a career firefighter/paramedic without restrictions. My job is demanding and I have had no issues with my shoulders since returning to work. I have full range of motion and continue to gain strength as time passes. My recovery period was exactly the time frame Alex gave me and progressed at the pace he described before each surgery. His communication with my physical therapist was much appreciated. They spoke regularly and I feel this was key to my recovery. These injuries could have been career-ending for me. I can’t thank Alex, Khristin, and the entire staff enough for their work!

My office visits once a year with Dr. Meininger are always welcome. With a simple procedure of cortisone shots I feel better in just a day. He is courteous, kind and attentive. I would recommend him to anyone.

Excellent experience during a not so excellent time. I injured my knee- acl, mcl, meniscus. It was last summer, before my senior year in high school. Dr Meininger was great from the first visit through surgery and all the follow up. I highly recommend him as a doctor and a surgeon. Thank you.

Doc Meininger has an easy-going manner, very friendly, helpful, answers questions with easy-to-understand explanations for the lay person. His knowledge is very impressive. My knees couldn't do without him!! 500 stars !!!

I have a lot of ACL surgeries on my right leg and when I tore my ACL in my left leg I went to Dr. Meininger. He took the time to speak with me and was very detailed. The day of surgery, he came and sat with my husband and I and was very easy to talk to. He kept my husband very informed after my procedure (I was in recovery) and that made my husband very happy to know how things were. I woke up from surgery, with no pain, I had amazing care by my post op nurses, and I truly felt great! I am 14 days post op and I have still not taken any pain medication. After surgery, Dr. Meininger called me at hope to follow up with me check on me, along with the nurses. I was very happy with the level of care I received and the personal treatment I received. I would recommend Dr. Meininger to everyone because I am more than please with my surgery, my care and my overall experience.

My knees have luxating patellas. When the kneecaps slide, I'm on the ground in pain. Swelling, braces, time on crutches results. Dr. Meininger has given me very helpful advice on exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscles & prevent further dislocations. He's never in a rush, gives as much time as needed and is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and precise in his recommendations. If I ever decide to get the patellas fixed surgically, Dr. Meininger will be my Go-To-Doc for sure!!!!!
