I am extremely disappointed with Dr. Alexandra Gangi’s care, or rather, lack thereof. She saw my 27-year-old son nine days ago and completely dismissed his enlarged liver, claiming it was “normal.” However, she then contradicted herself by ordering a Gallium CT scan to “make sure.” My son had recently undergone emergency appendicitis surgery, where we discovered the enlarged liver and, even more concerning, a tumor on his appendix. Given his history of alcohol abuse, this is a serious and life-threatening issue that requires urgent medical attention—something every other doctor we consulted took very seriously. By downplaying my son’s condition, Dr. Gangi gave him false reassurance, which led him to continue harmful behavior. This ultimately resulted in a near-death experience when he was taken to the ER after an accident. To make matters worse, when I followed up on the scan she supposedly ordered, her office falsely claimed they were waiting on insurance approval. When I… contacted the insurance company directly, they confirmed that no request had ever been submitted. After confronting her office about this, my messages were ignored. When I finally spoke to her assistant, I was met with rudeness and dismissal. I was also told that Dr. Gangi had been traveling since our visit and hadn’t even signed the notes. Her negligence has put my son’s life at serious risk, and now, due to our upcoming relocation, we are left scrambling to get the necessary medical care elsewhere. Dr. Gangi should not be allowed to practice medicine if this is how she treats her patients. I strongly urge anyone seeking a compassionate, competent doctor to go elsewhere.
