Getting a BA with Dr. Schmidt has been one of my best decisions. The whole process from consultation to recovery has been so much easier than I imagined! The results are everything I have ever hoped for and so much more. I feel more youthful and confident. I wanted a very natural appearance, just enough of an implant to restore some of the volume I had lost after some weight lost. I was a little nervous about how the incisions would heal but mine look amazing!!! Flat and with no discoloration. I really feel like following the very detailed post-care instructions given to you at the Pre-op appointment makes recovery a breeze! Dr. Schmidt explained all of my options and we ended up with 305cc Sientra gel implants, a breast lift, and liposuction around the armpits and full abdomen. I have been thinking about surgery for a while, my upper lids were very heavy and laying on my lashes. I felt it made me look tired and older than my age. I decided to meet with Dr. Alexandra Schmidt at Blue Water Plastic Surgery Partners, because 2 of my friends, one whom had a face lift and the other had breast surgery, both look amazing, and their scars where completely invisible. When I first walked in, I noticed the facility was beautiful and the front desk staff were warm and welcoming. Oh, and the office, it is so private, it is a first-floor office and surgery center with a private back door exit, that has its own parking space just for patients. They used fobs to enter into the surgery center so I felt safe and secure. After being brought back to the exam room, I was so nervous, but Dr. Schmidt and her nurses Tracy and Melissa, soon made me feel comfortable and at ease. We went back to the OR, and soon she began my local case, that’s right, I was awake for the surgery. Dr… Schmidt gave me a local anesthetic, which I hardly felt. My biggest fear is that it was going to hurt, but there was hardly any pain at all. Any time I thought I was feeling anything I would let her know and she would just add more anesthetic. I could not believe how easy it was, before I knew it the surgery was over and I was on my way home. After my surgery I felt no pain, zip, nada. Later I felt only what I might call tenderness, like I wouldn’t want to rub my eyes, but still, really no pain. The day after surgery I had very mild swelling and little redness, but I could already tell I looked amazing. Day 2 I was back to work. Dr. Schmidt called me the night of surgery to check on me and saw me again the very next morning. Even though I felt great, it was very nice to get the attention after surgery. Dr. Schmidt did it again! After completing a very successful upper bleph on my husband she and her surgical team performed the same surgery on me. I had been talking about getting this procedure done for quite some time. I can’t believe I waited this long. It was surprising how quick and easy the whole process was. I am usually pretty nervous about getting things like this done, but from the moment I met with Dr. Schmidt she made me feel like I was her only patient. I never felt rushed or like I was taking too much of her time. She listened and answered every one of my many questions even though I had already been through the process with my husband. I am now on day three and feel amazing. I was never in any pain at all. She performed the procedure under local anesthesia with a small cocktail of meds that just took the edge off.
