Dr. Alfred Dwayne Jenkins, MD

My mom went into the ER on 8-27-19 because she was having some rectal bleeding and really bad abdominal cramping. Her colon rectal doctor ordered a CT scan to see what he could see. They ended up finding an 11cm mass on her right ovary. They called in Dr. Jenkins fearing it was cancer. He came in and had the absolute best bedside manor!! He said this thing has to come out. They admitted my mother and she was in surgery 8-29-19. He came out and said he believed the mass to be benign and didn’t not see any signs that it had spread. We received the call today 9-5-19 that it was as he thought, totally benign. I honestly can not say enough good things about him. He was one of the best doctors I’ve seen in a long time. I thank God for putting him in our path!!

Dr. Jenkins is very friendly and helped me through such a scary time. After being told I would have to have a hysterectomy at the age of 21 because I "had cancer" from Indian health care. I went to see Dr. Jenkins and he immediately brought comfort to the situation. It turned out that I did not have cancer but I did have endometriosis and a mass on my let ovary. Dr. Jenkins did surgery to remove ONLY my left ovary and it was a great experience. I had an easy recovery. The entire office is very nice and makes you feel welcome. :)

I was operated by him for my second episode of uterine fibroids. I was scared for my fertility as I didn't have kids. I am now pregnant. He is a great surgeon with excellent bed-side manners. Five stars for this great personality. Both my husband and I are big fan.

Dr. Jenkins and his staff just walked with me through a cancer scare that included surgery. Throughout the entire process, I knew I was in excellent hands and received outstanding care. Dr. Jenkins' caring attitude for me personally gave me such peace about the process - that same care came from each member of his staff as well! I cannot recommend him enough!

I was referred to Dr. Jenkins by my gynecologist. I had already been diagnosed with endometrial adenocarcinoma, and I was terrified. He performed my hysterectomy in Dec, 2017, and I could not have asked for better medical care.

I left this man's office feeling the lowest I have in my life and worthless too. I know I'm fat but I deserve to be treated better than I was today.

Talked to me as if I were a child and stupid

I was referred to Dr. Jenkins for a cyst on my ovary and elevated ca125...he was very kind and explained everything to me...even though he did not believe I had cancer he followed through with me and ended up having surgery to take the cyst out which ended up to be endometriosis....he was very friendly and answered all my questions...I would recommend him. I have dealt with some nasty doctors but I would consider Dr Jenkins very kind and down to earth.

Dr. Jenkins is a brilliant gynecological oncologist who is very caring and personable. He saw me as a person and not just another number or person with cancer. He is hardworking and diligent. He was very warm to my family and me anytime he spoke of my illness. His staff all new my husband and I by name and called us back in an expedient manner. He is one of the best and always made sure I had the best team when other issues arose. My family and I are very grateful that my primary care physician referred me to him.
