Dr. Alfred Jacques Tria, MD

I visited Dr Tria for an evaluation for potential knee reconstruction. I was very pleased with manner and the time he took to explain why I was experiencing hip pain. He laid out a plan to address my problem and told me to take some time to think about the plan he had laid out. he also told me about the successes and failures of this type of surgery and the risks involved. Despite knowing the risks involved, I felt comfortable moving forward with surgery.

He does not care about his patients. 4 month after my knee replacement, I told him I was still having a lot of pain. he said everything is OK. See me in 6 months. He never checked for scar tissue or addressed the problem.. I went to him again and he said see me in 6 months. I only have 70 % leg mobility; I am a cripple. It is now 7 months since I the operation and I am still in pain. I went to another orthopedic doctor and he said I have scar tissue, that is why my leg feels so stiff and tight. It should have been taken care of in the first 12 weeks after the operation. Now it is too late and I will need another operation I would not recommend Dr. Tria to anyone!

Explained every thing in a way I could understand was very kind and encouraging

An elderly friend had a hip replacement in 2018 and had been stable on a prescription NSAID for a number of years. Post operatively this surgeon doubled that dose of NSAID and this patient suffered a series of severe and life threatening setbacks. His surgical expertise may be considered excellent, however, the entire patient’s medical history and risk of medication side effects was lacking in this case.

Dr. Trial replaced my left knee in 2007, that is eleven years ago, I had a couple of visits right after the operation as a check up the knee has been fine ever since.

It’s been 11 years since I had a total knee replacement procedure by dr tria. After 5 months I was able to dance in my daughter’s wedding. It was the best thing that happened to me. Thank you Dr . Tria

This man's Harvard education needs a lesson in professional humility. He does NOT see the patient rather he only see's the knee!

I wish there was more follow up after surgery explaining why I had scaring on my knee that has disabled me for life. This can not be fixed and I have had major back problems since.

He was not really interested in my symptoms or activity level. Sounded like the "canned" recommendation given to the 2 people overheard in the next room. He recommended NSAIDS despite high blood pressure contraindication (which I reminded him of). So he says take your blood pressure at home and skip a day of NSAIDS if it goes up. ?????? Never said to limit NSAIDS to 10 days even tho all reliable sources including the bottle of NSAIDS says "do not exceed 10 days use." STILL IN PAIN! Wants another visit to "reevaluate" when it is still the same pain / problem and all I want is the MRI which is usually standard procedure in such new onset pain problems. Do I smell a money hungry practitioner?

waited forever to have knee replacement. Finally heard of Dr Tria and made appt. After 3 1/2 yrs of being crippled I can stand straight and tall and have no pain after 2 weeks of surgery and now 2.5 months later no pain. He is kind and brilliant and CARES...........
