Dr. Alia Tasmin Malik, MD

I have been through so many Military Treatment Facility doctors before and have received my share of bad and good doctors. Dr. Malia is by far one fo the best doctors who truly cares about her patients. She listened to me and what I had to say. She was not afraid to let me know when I'm not taking care of myself. She thoroughly checks me up and ensures that I follow through on my treatment plan. She also has excellent bedside manner. I would recommend her to anyone I know. It is very difficult to find great and caring MTF PCMs and she is one of the best!

Dr. Malik is amazing. She is one the best medical physician I have ever encountered in Virginia supporting DoD health system. She is the PCM for my son. I have 26 years experience dealing with military health care. Even with the changes of creating "efficiencies" to send dependents and retirees out to those who will accept Tricare which is just above popularity with MEDICAID payments with private health providers. I'm so thankful that DoD hired such a quality medical professional.

I would like to share with you that after numerous visits to the Dumfries Clinic for most of the same medical problems, I often wondered why certain test were not put in. My frustration and dissatisfaction led me to change providers and I was recommended to doctor Alia T. Malik. I am extremely grateful for my choice; so much so, that my husband and daughter are her patients as well now. Doctor Malik is pleasant and personable. She genuinely listens to my concerns, addresses my questions, does not rush me but takes the time to truly listen. Since my first appointment with doctor Malik I walked out satisfied with lots of hope. She immediately figures out the best course of action for us, I feel I am part of my care as she elaborates on her diagnosis. She has ordered all the right tests so far, which have… revealed important information for treatment. I know my body, I listen to my gut feeling, and doctor Malik listens to me. I feel validated, very validated. Finally after ten months, I am understanding what is going on with me. Doctor Malik is an asset to the Dumfries Clinic Family Practice and I am thrilled to have found the right doctor for me. She is awesome!
