Dr. Alice Bendix Gottlieb, MD

Worst experience I ever had at a Doctor's office. I left in actual tears and refused further treatment from her. I had an appointment with Dr. Alice Gottlieb at Mount Sinai but Dr. Teresa Song was the one who saw me first and asked questions which I already answered on their website. Unprofessional right from the start. I politely answered. She went out and talked to Dr. Gottlieb. Later Dr. Gottlieb came with two trainees.The whole time I was there I sat on the regular chair. I never made it to the examination chair. Dr Gottlieb didn't touch me at all. I showed her and told her what the problem was. She asked me if I have eczema. I replied yes. She turned to the trainee and said, "see eczema". I had 2 referrals, one for Dermatology and Rheumatology but no question about Rheumatology at all. I went to them because I was experiencing additional symptoms beyond eczema. They were supposed to be specialists of Autoimmune Diseases, Dermatology and Rheumatology Dr. Gottlieb asked Dr.… Song what kind of insurance I have. Dr. Song answered "commercial". Dr. Gottlieb said great! They prescribed regular cream for eczema and other cream which caused $2,000. At no point did they examine me beyond asking if I have eczema. When I told them that I had a test done by a previous doctor which often indicated autoimmune disease, Dr. Song stated that the test wasn't always an indication of autoimmune disease but did not ask further questions. In short, I waited for the appointment for a half year. Never was examined beyond asking if I had eczema and what my insurance was then sent me on my way. They charged me $500 for nothing!

She does not care about her patients. Literally was given the run around for months. Irresponsible behavior, she should be ashamed

I have spent many hours trying to find Dr. Alice Gottlieb's office as I need an appointment with her. I am a past patient and need her help.

Dr. Gottlieb is wonderful, but I have never had so much trouble scheduling an appointment. Her book is too full for the patients she has, so even though she wanted to see me for a 6 month follow up her scheduler couldn't fit me in for 8. Tufts does a terrible job of supporting and training admin staff .... truly the most difficult medical office I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gottlieb for many years and I consider her to be outstanding in every aspect as a Doctor. I travel to see her often from NJ to Boston Mass.at Tufts University Medical center and believe she is one of the outstanding Dr's in her fields of endeavor.

I have suffered in pain for years with both psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. It was suspected that I had SA by several doctors. Dr. Gottlieb was the only doctor that seemed to take me seriously. She was the only one who understood that I needed help and did not hesitate to give it to me. We are working on what medication is right for me. She never stops trying. i went to one of her information sessions through the psoriasis foundation. she did an awesome job! I learned so much. I don't feel alone and helpless anymore.

Dr. Gottlieb is an excellent doctor. She has helped me for 7 years, and continues to be an advocate for me.
