Dr. Alice Whittier Newton, MD

Both of my kids were seeing Dr.Newton as their pediatrician at Beaver Brook Pediatrics. We got tremendous help from Dr.Newton when we were working on my son’s chronic FPIES. She even gave us her cell number when we were struggling. She is thorough, knowledgeable and most importantly dedicated to kids. Right now she left the practice and we really miss her!

Doctor Newton is a wonderful pediatrician. When I was a new mom she was kind and patient with my questions. My children grew to love her as they got older. I would highly recommend her.

Dr Newton is great, she is easy going and has helped to ease my questions and concerns as a new parent in ways that do not make me feel insane or stupid for asking.

Either Dr. Alice Newton is paranoid in that she perceives ordinary concerned parents seeking medical care for their child and agreeing to procedures described by their doctor as being "medical child abuse", or she is corrupt and she sees some kind of financial opportunities in accusing innocent parents of child abuse. Either way, when ordinary concerned parents walk into the hospital seeking medical assistance for their child, Dr. Alice Newton has a habit of accusing those parents of child abuse despite a lack of any evidence that the parents are abusive. Her accusations have ultimately been overturned, proving in the end that those accusations were groundless. But, before they were overturned, Dr. Alice Newton's patients and families were subjected to horrific, traumatic, terrifying experiences sometimes lasting years, which will haunt them for the rest of their lives.

Dr. Newton is absolutely amazing, she is gentle, kind and thorough. Dr. Newton related very well to young children and can put them at ease. She elicits their cooperation seamlessly and my grand-niece warmed up to her immediately. I would recommend Dr. Newton to any an all parents, grandparents or extended family dealing with social problem, or no problems at all.

Dr. Alice Newton is linked with several cases in which her accusations of child abuse were ultimately overturned. She has utterly ruined the lives of innocent parents and severely traumatized children with abrupt and terrifying family separations that wre worse because they were inflicted on children who were already ill and needed the emotional support of their families. Stay away from large children's hospitals in states that do not affirm parental rights, and stay away from Alice Newton. If she does not find someone to accuse, then she is out of a job. If there are no battered children to justify her paycheck, she will accuse a perfectly normal parent. If a parent sees her role as "advocate" (what parent doesn't), or child sees himself in the "sick role" (that's probably why the child is at a hospital), or "the child behaves differently when the parent is in the room" (of course he does. Kids behave differently with STRANGERS), then if you have the misfortune to encounter… this crazy woman, you may never see your child again because that is her definition of child abuse. Dr. Alice Newton seems to be mentally ill, herself, in that she perceives normal parental concern, normal advocacy, normal exercise of liberty and privacy and free speech, and normal complaints of illness -- as abnormal. It's all a matter of opinion, but her opinions get innocent people thrown in jail, and innocent children ripped from their home and families.

At the very least, she appears to be incompetent and her actions are disturbing.

She has been sued for ignoring a child's serious medical condition and accusing the child of being mentally ill as well as accusing the parents, and then conducting medical research on the child without the parent's consent. She's a great doctor to see, if you want someone to take your child away from you, not treat the child for her illness, and then use the child is a guinea. otherwise -- stay away!
