Dr. Alicia Acevedo-Urcuyo

You dont actually get to se the "doctor" you see one of her PA's. The doctor oversees all the decisions. Horrible service for anyone elderly or needing Alzheimer/Dementia care. They have no knowledge at all in this area. How a Medical doctor does not know protocols is alarming. I would avoid this office.

I paid $75 for a copy of my records 9-6-2022. I was told it would be 2 weeks. I had an appointment with Dr A Oct 25. I asked her where are my records I have a witness she told me by the end of the year. My insurance company has called. They keep saying we will have them by Monday. My insurance company calls Monday they say they will have them by Friday. This has been going on for months.

I started seeing Dr A. In 2011. Because she took my insurance. I told her then I was in constant pain. In 2013 I was still complaining of body pain she had me get X-rays, MRI. I was told I have arthritis. Next yearly exam told her I was still in pain. She said I was getting old. I was 37. In great shape healthy weight. I don’t drink, or smoke eat a clean diet, and exercise. In May I asked her for a referral to Pain Management. She refused and told me she could do the same thing they do. She gave me a RX. It caused me to pass out. Will never go back to her.

I have been a patient of hers for over 10 yrs. I started seeing her because she took Medicated. Went for annual exams. I told her I was in constant pain she did X-rays told me I had arthritis and I was old. I’m 50. This has been going on for years. She had no recommendations on how to deal with the pain. So I asked her to refer me to a pain center. That I knew took my insurance. I just needed a referral from my primary care Dr. Acevedo. She would not give me a referral. She said she could do the same thing that they would. She gave me a RX. I took it one day ended up in the ER do to the RX. I never asked her for RX. Just a referral to a place that treats pain with physical therapy. I would avoid her at all cost. Dr Acevedo is exactly what you get with free health insurance. I’m now paying out of pocket to make sure I get quality care

This is one of the worst doctor's I have ever encountered. She makes you wait over 45min and will only give you 5min of her time and that is speaking about her children not what you are there for. She is very loud in regards to making sure you have paid your co-pay before being seen and she never has immunizations for the children she states that they are costly and she will try to get some ordered. Don't waste your time at her office, your family would be better served somewhere else

Dr. Alicia Acevedo is smart, friendly, kind and knowledgeable . She is extremely through and answer all my questions. She is a very good physician and I would recommend her to anyone. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

Staff is not greeting. You can tell they came for the check, not experience. The nurse has the best attitude there. It takes at least two weeks to see the doctor, no matter how important. $50 fee if you a minute late. I just had to fire her, her staff sucks, and she just does her job. What more can I ask for? At least a doctor who cares and not afraid to diagnose. I've had the same issue for years. Finally took advice from another doctor and now i'm better.

This is the worse doctor I have ever seen. The office staff is totally non-responsive and, at times, rude. They do no answer phones, you have to leave a message. Then wait. They only return a call about once in four messages. Often go without prescribed meds because they will not respond to pharmacy. Dr. Acevedo can be polite one visit and rude the next. After losin 33 pounds on a low fat diet, she told me I needed to become Vegan. She has been totally unresponsive. I have appointment cards that say one appointment, then they call a tell me it is a different date and charge me $50. They call to confirm my appointment, (which they never did before) at 8:50 in the morning, after I had me labs done the week before. Then at 3:30 they call and tell me she is dumping me because I have "missed 3 appointments in 5 years", which is debatable in the first place. Then I receive a letter telling me she is releasing me as a patient because I have too many things wrong with me. My opinion is that… this lazy woman only wants easy well patients.

The office has poor communication skills and very rude

I read the reviews and had to write. Dr. Acevedo has been my doctor for 6 years. My 6 year old and 1 year old have also seen her since 1 year/birth. She has consistently been thoughtful, friendly, helpful and caring. Her current staff are a great team of women who are likewise friendly and helpful. Her wait time has improved to about a 10 minute wait. I'd feel confident recommending her to others.
