Dr. Alicia Lynn Chen, MD

I’ve been Dr Chen’s patient for 19 years. She is fantastic. Takes her time and she explains things thoroughly. I’ve had emergencies a few times and didn’t want to go to ER. She got me in immediately and treated me without complaint. I know someone suddenly needing to be seen will throw Dr Chen’s schedule but she doesn’t make one feel like they are bothering her. I’ve found no one left me her. Hopefully she will be around for a long time because she will be very hard to place.

Dr. Chen is an excellent doctor, but my past 4 visits have been with her PA. The level of care has certainly diminished. Dr. Chen spends time with her patients and provides a thorough examination. Her PA does not. On my last visit I was in and out of the examination room in 14 minutes. The PA received a text while listening to my heartbeat and read the text! She then asked when was the last time I had a Pap Smear. I had to remind her that she did one 6 months ago. She then checked my records and stated that she had to follow up with the lab for the results. It appears that Dr. Chen’s practice has gotten so large, that I’m no longer receiving the attention that I once had. After having Dr. Chen as my physical for over 15 years, regretfully, I must find another doctor that has time to see their patients.

I did not see Dr Chen. I thought I had an appointment with her but only got to see her NP. This is the worst run office and information that I have ever seen. They had moved their office yet no one bothered to tell people and we were all going to the office that Dr Chen STILL has listed on the internet! Was able to make appointment on website but girl at desk said, "we can't do physical today because there is not enough time; we don't use the website" Then I gave NP RX for back brace that primary had to send to Humana for authorization. I explained to NP what to do with it and why. A week later I called and receptionist said, I have it right here. We didn't know what to do with it." They HAD MY phone number but did not once try to call me. When I did get them to send it they just picked a medical supply that does not even offer back braces so I was back to square one. This doctor needs to pay attention to what is going on in her front office.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Alicia Chen for two years. In the beginning both of our tests results were not very good, With help from Dr. Chen our last blood had really improved. She is very knowledge and supportive.

She charges a monthly fee for VIP service that is no different from regular service. Perscribes alot of medication that are what sees on TV with all the lethal sideeffects for pharma kick backs no doubt and insists that her patients use them. Leaves patient in exam room for 45 minutes before appearing and charges full time. Stay away from this one, you or a relative might end up deceased. Horrible doctor.
