Dr. Alicia Henry Larsen, MD

I had been going to Doctor Larsen previously, for many years. It was always for a brief well woman’s check up and I also had an IUD put in and taken out. Most of those experiences went well. But definitely a different experience, with my pregnancy. Very cut and dry, not one person, nurses nor her, even asked what I was naming my baby. How can you not ask a simple question, like that? I was just another pregnant woman, having a baby to them. Lots of things that were discussed at appointments, were forgotten, even the scheduling of my induction, that we talked about the only appointment, my husband could come to. She ended up not even delivering my baby, and in the end, it all worked out. But what a disappointment, in who I thought she was. If you have so many patients they start to become a number, it’s time to lesson the load.

I loved her until I had to have a LEEP procedure done. It is my understanding now that most gynos put you under anesthesia when using an electrical wire to cut off part of your body in a small enclosed space. At the time I asked for this but she refused and only gave me a local. I experienced excruciating pain and stress during the procedure. The nurse was yelling at me to calm down whole I was hyperventilating. After they sent me away telling me to take a motrin for continuing pain. I now experience PTSD for even a pap. It was literal torture.

Husband & new Dad here. My wife and I had a perfect experience with Dr. Larsen. She is very communicative and thorough throughout the pregnancy. She is very science and research-based(which I love) while cultivating our comfort and allowing us to feel very excited about our coming baby. Which is no easy feat given all the details that need to be addressed. Dr. Larsen really shines in the delivery room. Sparing you from all the details, just know I felt a huge comfort when Dr. Larsen walked into the room. She took perfect care of my wife and was focused on her comfort and health. We will be returning if we are blessed with baby #2. Thanks Dr. Larsen.

This woman has a special place in my family’s heart! Having my children back to back was a little scary but she managed to always chase any fears away and give us the absolute best care. Answered ANY questions without once making me feel silly about it. And to top it off, made both of my very long/stubborn deliveries the best atmosphere this mama could ever ask for. I could go on and on, but to sum it up we absolutely love her!!

I was a first time mom and delivered twins at 37+1 via a c-section. Dr Larsen kept me informed at each appointment and was in complete control throughout the pregnancy. She is extremely knowledgeable, very personable, always approachable and is a straight shooter when she needs to be. She is the perfect balance I was looking for in an OB! I am never hesitant to ask questions and she always takes her time to answer every question with compassion and care. If you are looking for an OB that is 5 stars, Dr Larsen is your lady!

Dr. Larsen delivered my first baby, Adeline. She was so caring throughout the whole pregnancy. She was about to be off duty when I had to have a C Section. She stayed and delivered my baby when she was off duty. That’s the kind of doctor u want!! Now I’m pregnant again and I’m so calm and excited for this next 9 months because she is in my corner! Thank you Dr. Larsen!

I absolutely love having Dr. Larsen as my OB. I have been through two miscarriages with her and she was just so amazing and helpful during those hard times. I am now pregnant with my son and she has been just as amazing! I have never had any problems with her or her staff. Normally, I have never had to wait too long to be seen but if for some reason there is a wait she always apologizes. She takes her time to listen to questions and also tells stories from her own personal experience. Overall, she is a great doctor to work with! Very helpful, thoughtful and personabale. Would always recommend!

Dr. Larsen is the most kind, compassionate and accommodating doctor. She has amazing bedside manner and doesn’t rush through your visit to get to the next patient. She didn’t go on a trip with her husband just in case my son came on his due date. We are seeing her again with our second pregnancy and I could not be happier. She is so respectful and takes time to get to know her patients, even asks about my son by name. If you want an OB who truly cares about you and your baby, choose her!

I have visited Dr Larsen for many years. She is extremely thorough while I am visiting, making sure all my questions are answered. She doesn’t rush to go to the next patient- which I am very grateful for from her. She delivered my two kids and was amazing. I was very anxious and nervous and she helped to calm me down. My husband was probably just as bad- don’t know why- but she managed to calm us both. She was gentle during the delivery and I didn’t feel anything- she kept checking to make sure I wasn’t feeling any pain because she remembered I was very nervous about that. I would recommend her to any and everyone and is she rob my next delivery- if we go for number three!!! So happy I found AMAZING OB/GYN doctor. She truly understands from having her own kids too!! I sometimes even get nervous for yearly check up and she is very patient with me during the exam. If you are searching for a doctor- she is wonderful!!!

I'm not sure how everyone else got such a great experience from this doctor, because she did NOT seem to care or give me the time or day. I kept asking about my delivery as this was my first pregnancy and she kept saying we'd discuss it way later on in my pregnancy around 38 weeks even though I had twins and average delivery is 37 weeks for multiples. Also, she kept implying I'd end up having a c-section even though I wanted to do everything I could not to. She was very rough with me and rough during my delivery. She also made me feel dumb for asking questions during my appointments. I did not feel respected at all or liked she cared at all about my twins. Will definitely not go back to her for future pregnancies.
