Dr. Alina Lorena Popa, MD

Dr. Popa spent a few minutes in the patient room then proceeded to write a summary indicating she spent 52 minutes with patient and on patient records. Multiple time she refers to me as he, and yes this can be explained by dictation… however, she went on to describe a scenerio that was not accurate and had nothing to do with patient.

Such a positive care giver and provider with a kindred spirit.

Dr. Alina Popa is very rude and barely speaks rudimentary English. I called the office and Dr. Popa, who was on call for the weekend, called me back. During the phone call Dr. Popa responded to me with a mix of English and some other language, and, instead of listening to me and assisting me, negligently told me to go to the emergency room and then hung up on me. My first and only language is English and I have a right to speak to a doctor who uses understandable English. I also have the right to deal with a doctor who is kind and sympathetic rather than rude, angry, and less than considerate. Finally, why would Dr. Popa be so quick to send me to the emergency room when she is capable of solving the problem herself by contacting my pharmacy and refilling my medication? Sending people to the emergency room instead of refilling their medication by phone is a costly and obvious abuse the healthcare system. If you need help, hope and pray Dr. Popa isn't the doctor on call.
