Dr. Alison Faith Dancer, MD

My son went to see Dr. Dancer as new patient. She ask him multiple questions at the beginning of the appointment. One of the answers given prevented her from treating my son. However, she did inform him of this until the end of the 45 minute appointment. Instead of telling him this upfront and giving him the opportunity to leave, she continued to ask about his history which included some very sensitive, personal information. My son has suffered and overcome a lot of trauma. It was completely unnecessary and UNPROFESSIONAL for Dr. Dancer to continue to ask questions knowing she was going to refuse to treat him. My son left her office feeling very violated. He shared very personal, private information with a perfect stranger no reason. I would not recommend Dr. Dancer to anyone. Avoid this Doctor!!

My 19-year-old daughter went to see her. The first session she told her that it's possible she was bipolar. This was my daughters worst fear. This doctor did not call to get a valid history. She did not try to rule out anything medical. She talk to her about taking medication. This doctor doesn't realize that my daughter has a history of women in her family who have early onset Parkinson's brought on by medication. I am furious !!!

Dr. Dancer is simply a world-class physician. You won't find a therapist more helpful or professional.

Started out good with Dr Dancer then when we really needed her she didn't come through! Withheld medication that was needed to function and left the patient, a minor, to suffer terrible consequences. Dr Dancer was given all the information and chose to ignore it! We had to quickly seek out a new doctor to help us! You decide!

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Dancer and she loves her. I am so happy that she has found someone that she can connect with. She is such a blessing.

I only had an initial consultation with this psychiatrist and plan on never returning. When I told her about my anxiety and explained my history, she just said "mhmm, mhmm, mhm..." after like everything I said, and sometimes she kept saying that well after I was done talking. Totally creepy. But besides that, she seemed disinterested and she had this expression on her face that gave away that she wasn't listening as much as she was just waiting for her turn to talk. I came in there to simply get a renewed xanax prescription (my normal psychiatrist is in OKC and wouldn't renew over phone) and she said that she would have to get to know me through several more appointments before I could just simply get my refill. I translate that into manipulating me to spend more and more money on clockable hours (i.e. I would be paying her a lot more that way). Thumbs down.

caring, smart -- really helpful

Dr. Dancer listens, understands, has lots of empathy. I would recommend her to family and friends. She is incredibly insightful and right on target. Dr. Dancer is the first psychiatrist to actually help me.
