Sadly, I have to agree with the other reviews that Dr. Laundhardt is condescending and a bad reflection on Dermatology Inc. I've never been disrespected by a doctor like this before and left stunned. She is not the right doctor for anyone with a history of skin cancer. I've never experienced such an unprofessional interaction and in a health care setting that is totally unacceptable. I don't like to leave negative reviews but it would be irresponsible in this situation to allow someone else to leave a medical appointment questioning what THEY could have done differently to prevent a doctor from laughing at them and then to condescend. It reeks of insecurity and unprofessionalism. The"wait and see" philosophy has backfired on me in the past and caused my skin cancer to progress. Dr. Launhardt is aware of my history and that particular situation. Thank goodness after several months of applying topical solutions to my eye, I consulted with Dr. Hanke at Laser Surgery and Skin Care… Center. He biopsied it right away and after four hours was able to complete the Mohs surgery that had now progressed into my eyelid. I'm comfortable advocating for myself but if someone younger or less experienced ends up with Dr. Launhardt the results could be damaging in my opinion.

Nearly impossible to get an appointment. I had to cancel my regular appointment (an unavoidable work related conflict - I teach at a university - & cancelled in plenty of time) and they pushed my check-up appointment out more than four months. FOUR MONTHS. Yeah. I’m out of here.

I fell while out for a jog. I got two very small (raisin-sized) scrapes on my chin and upper lip. I was concerned about scarring so saw Dr. Launhardt - for the first and only time. Even though it had only been 9 days since the scrapes and the scabs had already fallen off and all that remained was two reddened spots, she refused to believe that healing - I'm in my sixties - takes time. She was sure this was skin cancer and wanted an immediate skin biopsy - which involves cutting into the face. I went to a board certified dermatologist who has over 600 5 star reviews. - Understandably she has a long wait time, but I got in when someone cancelled. This expert pronounced Launhardt's thought process and diagnosis to be unfounded. Completely medically unfounded. I strongly advise you not go to Dr. Launhardt. Had I not trusted my own assessment and sought a second opinion I would have had my face cut open for nothing.
