Dr. Alison Marie Leston, MD

My experience was just like the others. I don't think she cares about getting to the cause or providing a solution for healing and recovery after trauma.

If you want a Dr that won't try to find what is wrong then this is the one. She said it was all in my head. Her exact words were " There's nothing wrong with you. Why don't you go get a job?" I thought about reporting her to the University but what's the use.

I saw Dr Leston after seeing a few neurologists. I can say in comparison she was awful. No bed side manner. She did not seem to care about what was going on, nor did she want to get to the bottom of it. After doing basic tests she told me there is nothing they can do for me and did not offer any advise of how to proceed. I agree with all of the negative reviews listed below. Do not waste your time.

I was referred by my PCP to Dr. Alison Leston and cannot thank her enough. Dr. Leston spent over an hour with me reviewing my medications, labs, and history of migraines. I was shocked when I looked at my watch to see the exam and visit went well over an hour. Very detail oriented, I'd recommend her to anyone who has suffered from migraines for years.

I saw Dr. Leston and found her to be extremely knowledgeable about headaches and aerospace. She was prompt, listened carefully to my problems and suggested an actionable course of action. I felt that she really got to know me and worked with me to find the right treatment and did not waste my time.

She doesn't care about her patients. She's the type of doctor that doesn't listen to any concerns. She will let you know that nothing is wrong with you without doing any testing. Please don't waste your time and money on this doctor.

I met Dr. leston while inpatient at Clements Hospital this past week. She came in with all of her students, poked and prodded at me until coming to the conclusion that there was nothing she could do for me. She asked very few questions, and had a terribly demeaning attitude for me. Left me feeling hopeless and in tears. She contributed absolutely nothing to my care, was in a rush, and claimed that the only person who could help me was Dr. Joseph Vaughan, whom I had already seen and been misdiagnosed and mistreated by, and after calling him out on his wrongdoings he refused to see me. In her words my options were "Dr. Vaughan or nothing". In a city with countless physicians, that was untrue and so inconsiderate to leave me feeling utterly hopeless. After so many disheartening encounters with UTSW doctors and their massive egos, I'm losing faith in the hospital system itself. I obviously did not get a chance to witness her skills, but could not have had a worse impression of her as a… person or physician. Such cold and snappy behavior shouldn't be tolerated in medicine. As a person battling neurological and gastrointestinal illness as well as depression I am very overwhelmed already, and didn't appreciate her great contribution to my distress. Steer clear of this doctor if you have feelings at all. She will not care for them and will likely make you feel like a hopeless nuisance. I felt responsible to not let this incident go unspoken of so that I can save whoever I can from feeling as AWFUL as this physician made me feel. It also looks like I'm not the only one who feels this way...

Had a stroke went to MO Bapt. ER, Dr Leston discussed that I would have an MRI and an Ultra sound. Well here it is 30 hours later, no results, no phone call, nothing. She just left me hanging !!! Does not care !!! Called her office and she would not talk to me said I had to go through the hospital nurses. Ok now tomorrow it will be 48 hours with not one word from Dr. Leston regarding the MRI and Ultra sound. Stroke was bad enough that I can barely feed my self, cannot walk and will be in the Hospital inpatient rehab until further notice. Still no word from DR Leston. Never Never accept her as your neurologist !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
