Dr Aliya Yamin

Had my first visit with Dr Yamin as she replaced my previous doctor at WellStar. I will be finding another doctor. First, the interaction was really awkward. Dr Yamin doesn’t have a ton of interpersonal skills, but I can overlook that for good treatment. Dr Yamin then allowed her student to do my full physical while her back was to me as she was typing on the computer. Her student even made a comment while feeling my neck saying “has your neck always been like this?” (Like what?) and then mentioned she couldn’t find my thyroid. The dr never double checked any part of my physical, never confirmed any thyroid status and sent me away as having my physical completed. Come to find out, you’re supposed to be able to feel a thyroid and now I need to make another appointment to have their work double checked. If she can’t even do a simple physical correctly, I will not trust her with further care.

Dr. Yamin would not listen to my concerns at all. Diagnosis me based off nothing I said. Would not give me a ref/would not treat anything I asked her about. This doctor wanted me to make another appt to see her after I already had one scheduled in 2 weeks. I asked her to update my BMI which says I'm extremely obese my bmi is normal. Dr Yamin wrote a 6 month RX for depression. Well seeing its the end of the year and I cannot find another PCP after meeting my deduct...I'm now depressed.
