Dr. Allan David Duby, MD

Dr. Duby is a knowledgable physician who really cares about his patients. He listens and does a physical exam to find out what areas are issues on that visit. He diagnosed many people referred by an orthopedic dr in Tyler of their form of arthritis. He is the very best arthritis dr I have been to for treatment. He cares for the entire body as well and how it relates to the issues.

Dr is wonderful. I have seen at least 8 rheum drs in the Dallas area over the last 20 years. Very informative very knowledgeable very thorough. Is attentive and interested in whatever your concerns are. Extremely impressed and thankful

Spends all the time needed to help you understand your disease and shows you why he made the diagnosis. Sometimes difficult getting through on the office line, but keep trying!

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Duby!! He saved my sanity after being misdiagnosed for years. I have been going to him for almost 10 years now. He truly knows his speciality and LISTENS to everything you say. You may wait in his office to see him, BUT you KNOW that you will get a full hour or more EACH and EVERY time you see him. No herding you in and out like cattle like so many doctors. He is a RARE find in today's medical field. He treats the WHOLE patient and will call other doctors to discuss your care WHILE you are there. He is thorough, LISTENS, ask questions and what you say is never treated as trivial. He always explains everything in detail and will even pull out manuals or books to make sure you understand! If all doctors were like him, we wouldn't need hundreds of thousands of unnecessary tests because they aren't true physicians.I can not say enough good things about him. He doesn't join insurance networks, but he is so worth paying out of network because… you KNOW you are getting the best of care. Your insurance may be filled a little slower than most offices with a full staff, but your physical well being is the most important to him!

Some bizarre opinions here?? Evidently some folks didn't get the drugs they were looking for ... Dr. Duby is a really nice guy - highly qualified, caring, and never in a rush. The time you may wait in his waiting room is easily forgotten by the time he spends with you. McGill & Harvard educated, Dr Duby is one of the best Rheumatologists in the city. Laid back and intelligent... and highly recommended.

Dr. Duby is very disrespectful and full of himself. One of the rudest doctors I've ever met!

Dr. Duby is extremely well trained as someone already pointed out. Other doctors have a very high opinion of him and he came highly recommended to me. His office is not particularly well decorated and he may seem a bit untidy due to books on the floor in the exam room, but his time is spent with his patients. You will get far more out of an appt with Dr. Duby than with most. I never mind waiting because I know he is going to spend all the time needed on me as well. I never feel the stress of the Dr. or staff trying to get patients through quickly.While his office staff is very polite, they are not as professional as some; billing and insurance matters are handled slowly and sometimes incorrectly, but the issue I had was easily rectified. Honestly, I'd rather deal with that than very uncaring/rude staff at other offices. I'm not sure what Mr. Richardson is referring to in his post; I've been seeing Dr. Duby for years and never experienced anything like that.I love it that he will call… other Drs. while you are there to get additonal information, etc. You will get a thorough exam with all your questions answered!

I was truly impressed by Dr. Duby because of the way he examines a patient. He looks at the entire patient's medical history and family history to determine root cause. He tends to spend over an hour with each patient. He practices medicine the way it should be. During both visits he had medical journals and textbooks out for reference to verify what he was saying and to show me what he was saying. I have never seen a doctor do that. His attention to detail was overwhelming. However, I am very displeased with his office staff and the way they handled billing, appointments, and other matters. His practice is run poorly. Overall, he is the right person to go to for a true diagnosis.

Dr. Duby is a very qualified doctor and that says a great deal him but when it comes to the part that relates to others, respects others and understands the feelings of others he has absolutely no idea what a good person is. When recieving credentials and licensing I think it should be just as important to be a good person and Dr. Duby is very far from it.
