Dr. Allan Lawrence Rowley, MD

aw him previously for herniated discs, was prescribed medication to relieve my pain, recovery improved to the point I didn't need further intervention. The 1st of the year I began experiencing incredibly intense back, neck and nerve pain in my arm due to a degenerating disc. I saw him Monday, due to my condition he ordered an MRI stat, which I had done the following morning. I waited for a call with the results and some pain relief while we waited to schedule an injection, and since I had not received a call I called at 9:30 (they open at 9) and initiated contact with Dr Rowley and/or his assistant. I called twice more during business hours and several more after before receiving a call from the assistant telling me a steroid pack had been ordered for me. I am in need of immediate pain relief, so this was distressing to say the least. I did not realize until after the call that I can't take oral steroids due to my high blood pressure, and so called again to the on call doc, who… informed me "it's 5:30 on a Friday" and his "hands are tied." Dr Rowley saw fit to order a stat MRI to help get me some relief ASAP, but then felt it was ok to leave me suffering for another week at minimum. I will not be returning and have initiated a dispute with my insurer.

I've been a patient for 4 yes now, and definitely recommend Dr. Rowley for pain management. He's cautious because he is an analytical person, and wants to weigh all options to best help you. As there's an increased risk for addiction drugs like Percocet, Dr. Rowley prefers to use solutions that don't rely on medications unless absolutely necessary. This also saves the patient money, time, and a trip to the pharmacy. He is kind. He is caring, and is attentive to his patients.

I saw Dr. Rowley today. He was extremely thorough, explained my procedure to me and took very good care of me. His bedside manner was at the very top, right next to my doctor at Mayo Clinic. I had a transforaminal epidural for my L4. I was lightly sedated. The nurses and staff were kind, extremely sensitive to my needs, and they were very caring. Dr. Rowley did an amazing job I felt no pain afterwards and he took the time to talk to me before my procedure. He explained everything to me, was kind and I felt very comfortable in his hands. He is a very skilled MD with very impressive credentials and has a lot of experience. He treated like an individual not just another Social Security number. I will definitely go back to him for this procedure if I need another and I will see his partner Dr. Gause for my micro discectomy if needed. I'm very impressed with both of their bedside manners and I would highly recommend both of them. It was a very good experience.

Went and seen Rowley. He almost fell asleep several times while I tried to tell him what was wrong with me. His bedside manner was another thing. While tellling his office rules on Narcodics nothing more them 100mg oer day. Then the Idiot hurt me badly while he check me over. He took his finger and pressed as hard as he good near me neck and told me because I felt that I must have been lying. I had neck surgery and Rowley said let me get some X rays. The film was very blurred and even though I have metal in my neck Rowley when on to say there was nothing wrong with me. My opinion is this ...Don't go there Rowley is out for Money and not to helo any humans. At least not me. Rowley needs to go through what his patients go through with pain. He is by far the first doctor I have gone to that is hopeless. Have fun if you to Rowley
