Dr. Tompkins has done both of my knees and the results couldn't be better. I highly recommend him.

I recently had to have a total hip replacement. Not ever having had a major surgery I was quit nervous. Dr.Tompkins made me feel very comfortable through out the whole experience. His light-hearted bedside manner accompanied by his years of experience and knowledge. made what could have been a traumatic event into a pleasant memory. He ever visited me while I was in the hosiptal , I was in servere pain and would not get pain under control. Sent home in pain and ended up going to family doctor to get pain under control. He does not believe in pain meds. Also he is always one hour left. I would not go back to him. Plus his office staff are very rude.

I have had numerous occasions to meet Dr. Tompkins, and he never struck me as having an extra caring or concerned bedside manner. He was rough, and gruff, and frankly rude. He made VERY STRONG medical surgical suggestions that were immediately discounted when i chose to get a second opinion. He was so rough in examinations with both me and my wife, he caused intense unnecessary pain to us both. I would NEVER recommend this antiquated doctor to do anything on me or anyone I bumped into on the street. Allegience has a whole slew of doctors that act like they actually want the business and will work to earn it, unlike Dr. Tompkins who has been around so long he seems to think he just deserves it!

Dr. Tompkins made a lasting impact on how he handled my situation. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone. He told me he would treat me like a daughter and he did in every way. His confidence, poise, manner and personal care were remarkable. My knee injury from a snow ski accident needed two surgeries (scope and reconstruction) and eight months of therapy and every time I saw Dr. Tompkins he was encouraging and positive for a full recovery back to all my regular sports. In 6 months I ran my first 5K and exactly one year from my reconstruction surgery I was snow skiing again. Dr. Tompkins was an excellent surgeon.

We recently brought my son in for a problem with his leg and Dr. Tomkins quickly arranged for an MRI that same evening in order to diagnose the issue. He also followed up with us during the holidays in order to give us the results of the additional tests that were required. He is an excellent, caring physician who is more than happy to answer all questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking orthopaedic care.
