Dr. Allen David Bott, MD

I had to go see dr Bott for a referral from DOL. his office was unpleasant to say the least, his medical assistant (or at least I’m guessing that’s what she was) was so unfriendly I almost left at that moment, if I hadn’t drove 3 hours to get there I probably would have. When I finally got to see him he started asking me questions and I thought to myself what does this have to do with my foot. He finally looked at me and said oh by the way I’m also a psychiatrist. Well I was referred to a neurologist. Well let’s just say he did me no justice he put stuff in my health records that weren’t correct about my family’s history and a few other things because he just didn’t listen to me. He was more worried about leaving and his wife was leaving because she came to get him and he didn’t want her to leave, he interrupted my appointment to text her and call her. He also just wanted me to take psych meds. Horrible 3 1/2 hours of my life. I would rather have my teeth drilled on than have to… see him again.

Dr. Bott has to be an angel. He is the most professional, intelligent compassionate kind courteous doctor I have had. He has helped me so much there are not enough word I can say how greatful I am. He is the best! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ????

Dr Bott helped my Mom tremendously. He was patient, kind, listened and was, above all, extremely knowledgeable. He was attentive to the progression of her dementia and carefully adjusted her meds. With his help she was herself. Thank you Dr Bott.

I do not recommend that you entrust your care with Dr. Bott. He is extremely overbooked and unapologetically late every time. His office staff is inconsiderate and not helpful. Walgreen's recently denied refilling my anti depressant and anti anxiety and told me Bott wants me to call. Even my mechanic contacts me ahead of a needed oil change but this office just cuts me off from my pills with no warning. It's humiliating. So I email and ask for refills and an appt. They offered next soonest appointment in 35 days and 1 more refill in the meantime. But a refill is only 30 days? Then they only refilled one of the two and are now making me jump through hoops again. These are not opiates they are anti depressants. This has happened once before and I wish I had gotten a different doctor at that time but I am really afraid of varying my meds as I can't spare a period of unknown effects. They moved offices and during that time ~5 days I was unable to get a refill approved. After I complained… of withdrawal symptoms I was accused of lying and it was suggested I find a new doctor. I do not believe he or his staff cares about my well being or my business. If you look at his reviews overall you will see that many of his patients feel the same way.

Dr. Bott spends time with patients very well. But he does so too well to push all appointments late. When I saw him a year ago it was not uncommon that my appointment is pushed for an hour. I was advised to take morning appointments and I tried. He had emergency patients in front of me.

Best psychiatrist I've ever had. Very open-minded and concerned about the welfare of his patients. The wait time is atrocious but it's a small price to pay for all the time and attention needed during your appointment. When prescribing medication, he chooses meds he would take himself or give to his family; he makes the safest decisions possible.

Dr Bott has transformed my life. I have suffered from life-long depression and his approach to medicaion management has been superb. He is quite caring and well versed in psychopharmacology. Plan to wait a minimum of 30 min. I alway try to get the first 9:00 am appointment.

I have been seeing Dr. Bott for several years. No matter what time of day I go -or what day- I ALWAYS wait over an hour. I find that very inconsiderate and cocky of him to think that the patient's time is less valuable than his.

Dr. Bott RUINED 2 years of my life. First, I came to him as a pre-surgery consult to make sure I didn't have nerve damage related to an injury. No nerve damage was found although he did claim to also be a psychiatrist (which I found out later he is NOT)He told me that with his help, he could control my severe pain which he decided was due to a chemical imbalance diagnosing me as bipolar (which I am NOT) using a whole slew of psychiatric medications to treat my chronic pain. The fishy thing about Dr. Bott's treatments is that on every prescription he wrote "Do Not Substitute" without consulting me and I ended up with enormous copays. He put me on dozens of pills without any difference in pain or mood. I had tons of horrible side effects from everything he put me on. He also put me on Lamictal and forgot to mention that it makes birth control pills less effective and i ended up pregnant as a result. great. He would also tell me all about his private life including details about dates… he's been on and even mentioned hiss sex life with me. Gross. I was 18 at the time. He would constantly take personal phone calls during our sessions and that is after having waited an hour to see him because he was constantly behind schedule. After painful withdrawls I am finally off everything he ever prescribed me and after having a reconstructive surgery, I am better than ever. Thanks for ruining 2 years of my life Dr. Bott. He deserves to have his medical liscence revoked.
