Dr. Allen Lawrence Carl, MD

This man saved my son and extended his life for two precious years. He is a caring and skilled Doctor.

Scoliosis surgery went well. VERY informative. You can tell he has had a lot of experience. He had to be out a lot because of meetings and was very busy. Talked mostly into a recorder and gave us his recording typed on paper.

I have Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disc Disease and Osteoarthritis. Dr. Carl spent more time telling me I needed to loose weight and get my Diabetes under control than with my diagnosis. He said: "If you loose 25 pounds ALL your pain will be gone and you will be CURED of Diabetes" I understand I need to loose weight but its hard to loose weight when you can't walk. My pain management Doctor wanted me to see a different Doctor within his group and I was refused.

The wait in Dr. Carl's office may be a bit long, but it is 100% worth it. He takes time to explain everything and answer all of your questions. We have been seeing him for our daughter's scoliosis and he has been wonderful. We saw another dr. previously who was not very knowledgeable, and couldn't identify why the curve got worse, so our pediatrician recommended Dr. Carl.

Outstanding analytical review of symptoms and prior tests. gave a complete and easy to understand explanation of my condition and followed though with my referral to another specialist

Dr. Carl is the reason that I'm still able to play ice hockey. When I first went to him I was in constant pain and couldn't stand up for more than 5 minutes. Thank you Dr. Carl!!!!

My husband had been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer over 2 yrs ago he had a large mass & some lesions on spine the cancer fractured his spine so bad it was almost severed..plus he had compression fractures his spine was a mess And he was partially paralyzed wasn't sure he'd make it through or if he would walk again. Dr Carl & his Teams did an amazing job with neruo , othro & thoracic team he had set up for a 10 hour surgery he updated me throughout before during & after.... My husband is walking today, I am so Grateful to Dr Carl & the teams he put together to save my husband . I'would recommend him to anyone.

My daughter was diagnosed with severe scoliosis at 9 years old. Dr.Carl performed 2 spinal fusions on her,both were NOT successful! I was very disappointed that he never follwed through with an endocrinologist or an genetics to see if there was a problem he was not aware of. He definitely is a very genuine, caring doctor with some of the best bedside manners I've ever seen, BUT he's not your guy if you have a "difficult" case.

I had a L1burst fracture and could not be more proud to call Dr.Carl my doctor. He was there 7 days a week checking on me in the hospital. Even 3 times on a Sunday! Anyone who said he is rude is in previous posts is misunderstood, because he is such an amazing and caring doctor. I thank god he was on call the day of my accident because I would not want anyone else.

Dr. Carl diagnosed and treated my daughter when she was 11. He does talk into his recorder, but he also talks to you. He helped her (and her family) through a terribly painful time in her life. We will forever keep Dr. Carl and his wonderful staff in our prayers. My daughter is now 22. She just recieved her Bachelors Degree and is working on her Masters from Russell Sage College. Her degree is in Occupational Therapy. I could not be prouder.
