Dr. Allen Arthur Freestone, MD

I was able to get in quickly with Dr. Freestone when the appointment with Dr. Hanna fell through. He took time with me and asked a lot of questions. I had two major issues that both could have been resolved with appropriate follow up. He prescribed a blood pressure medication for me with no follow up labs or appointments. I wound up in the ER with critically low potassium. Secondly, I had just moved here and needed a prescription for thyroid med I had been on for many years. He doubled my dose because he said you dose by weight. A couple of months later a specialist happened to run my thyroid and my TSH was bottomed out. I never went back to see Dr. Freestone.

Dr Freestone is awesome and shows he cares about the people that come see him, he spends time with you making sure you fully understand your treatment and reason to be seen.

One of the best family docs my family has had.

He is thorough and quick to get to the solution. He does like to stop and visit, but I think this helps with a connection to your doctor.

My first impression of Dr. Freestone was that he was too friendly, almost flirty. He said he could be my OB as well as Primary Care Physician. That sounded fine, but a little weird that he offered his services that way, since I was there for a sinus infection. During the appointment he told me that he has told other women who attend his church that he could be their OB as well. He laughed it off as he said no one has taken him up on his offer. I figured he was just very friendly, and blew it off, since there was a low wait time, and his office was close by. At my second appointment I took my husband with me, as I was due for a yearly exam, and newly pregnant. I felt like I was being looked at inappropriately as he left my upper half exposed for a longer time than necessary, and walked across the room and looked back at me, while chatting with my husband. I felt like I was on display, not there for a regular check up. Some of his comments about his personal life were more… than we wanted to hear as well. We left that appointment knowing that was the last time. I called later that week, to have my test results sent to a different doctor. To my surprise, Dr. Freestone called me back soon after to ask why I was seeking a different Doctor. I was completely flustered, but decided to be honest. After I told him, he was speechless. He quickly apologized, wished me luck, and hung up. I had changed doctors several times before with others, and no one ever called me back to ask why. I honestly can't figure out why he called to ask. But that was the end of that!

Second time visit to this particular doctor. My husband left in a lot of pain. Both times nothing was given to address or ease the pain or any home care tips provided till we found out test results. Poor follow up from visits on both times. We had to keep badgering the staff to get any follow up as to what to do from the doctor. This second time after we got blood work back he didn't want to follow through on anything he discussed on our appointment. We were told to see a specialist.

Insisted I had diabetes without any real tests to back it up. It turned out it was something else raising my blood sugar. My blood sugar now is down to 95 just from changing my vitamins. He wouldn't listen to me at all.
