Dr. Allen Howard Maniker, MD

I'm a patient from Peru and I was blessed to contact dr. Maniker to perform a radial nerve graft surgery y my right arm that I broke in a terrible accident. Thanks to dr maniker expertise now I have a useful hand that allows me to have a normal life. It's been 9 years since I met him and I just have good words about this great doctor. Thanks dr. Maniker!!!!!!

That's reason enough to stay far away. He is arrogant, dismissive and totally uncaring. His condescending personality and poor bedside manner make him unworthy of treating patients who suffer with nerve pain.

Dr. Maniker was extremely helpful and actually showed me my MRI, and where the tumor was located at, and which nerve(s) it was affecting. He was willing to answer my laundry list of questions.

AVOID at all cost!! Dr. Maniker is a quack! Most of the good reviews are likely fake written by his staff. He is abusive and creates a hostile environment not only for his staff but also around patients. He has a HIGH infection rate for his surgeries. Most patients end up needing long term antibiotics after he operates on them. His arrogance will not let him treat patients in a competent manner. He tends to ignore patients who are not financially well off and gives his attention and respect to the VIPs or the rich of New York. He is currently under review with the hospital board and likely being asked to leave. I was referred to him by my PCP for a possible spine surgery but a good physician friend of mine recommended me against him and I am ever so grateful to my friend.

The doctor explains everything in a clear and concise manner.

I was referred to Dr Maniker by my primary care physician to evaluate some symptoms of a possible tumor. He immediately put me at ease while doing the initial examination. The tests revealed a small tumor, which he said was operable. The operation was about 2 weeks later and was a complete success. He and his nurse sensed I was very nervous, as was my family, and they both were very understanding to explain what was going to happen, what it would feel like, etc. I am very grateful to have been Dr Maniker's patient.

Dr. Maniker is an outstanding neurosurgeon with compassion and empathy for his patient which seems to be a rarity. He makes careful diagnosis and is not quick to rush into surgery. I would certainly recommend him to anybody who needs the services of an excellent doctor in his specialty.

Dr Maniker took care of my herniated disc in my back and he did a great job. He was caring and professional and his staff was especially accommodating. I recommend him highly.
