Dr. Allison R. Burton, MD

Dr. Burton does not see her patients as human being but as another number. Always requesting unnecessary test. She only wants you to see specialist under her group. Always repeating the same test to bill The insurance companies.

While this review may upset some of Dr. Burton's long-time patients who like her gentle demeanor, this review is simply our opinion of her face-to-face medical care. Apparently, Dr. Burton graduated from (for profit) Ross University School of Medicine Dominica, West Indies. Certainly not Johns Hopkins, Columbia, or Penn. Was a patient of Dr. Burton's at Florida Medical Clinic for several years. After multiple visits and check-ups over a multi-year period, our family realized Dr. Burton is poorly skilled and she provides rudimentary medical care; sometimes with incorrect diagnoses. We cannot recommend this physician.

I have been a patient of Dr. Burton's for five years. She is a consummate professional and outstanding physician. She is caring and thorough, and takes all the time necessary to determine patient needs. Her staff is in every way a mirror image of her peerless professionalism and she richly deserves the highest possible rating.

I'm very disappointed. I started going to her a few years ago after my mom recommended her. I was happy at first, but once you get established, you can't even be seen by her when you're sick! Any time I've been sick, I can't get in for a week or longer, so of course I must then go to urgent care. The saddest thing that's happened is she never recommended the right tests for my mom, which made her cancer diagnosis come too late. My mom is on medicare and is required to have her sign all authorizations for her cancer treatments. She is in stage 4 and going through her fourth round of chemo. The corona virus was just named a pandemic so I asked if we could get the authorizations for her continued cancer treatment signed without bringing her in, so she could avoid being around any contagious patients. The person I spoke to said she would get back to me after speaking with Dr. Burton. Five minutes before closing their office for the day, I was left a very condescending voicemail stating… that my mom has a better chance of catching the flu than the corona virus and that she is required to come in! How is that looking out for the best interest of an elderly patient with a weakened immune system? It makes me sick!!!!!!! You will be losing great patients over this!

Called have fever and major pain in my ear. After a visit to urgent care for a TMJ problem. Won't be seen for 4 days. Can never get an appointment. Dr doesn't listen to your problems. Never addressed my rash I had and went on my own to Dermatology. Had to have several meds including steroids and antibiotic.

Had the personality of a rock. Was not interested in what I had brought to her attention concerning my health. A waste of my time and a copay.

DR. ALLISON BURTON IS SUPER. SHE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND HAS A GREAT PERSONALTY. I NEVER HAVE TROUBLE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT AND I NEVER WAIT LONG FOR MY OFFICE VISIT.

4th New Doctor in about 5 years (Thee others kept leaving the practice up North), so I switched to a Dr. here in FLA. Could not believe the ease of getting the Appointments and the efficiency of Fla Med Clinic. Dr. Burton seems great. Had Knowledge of a fairly rare disorder I have and Immediately referred me to a specialist. Great knowledge and caring person. A+ Rating from me.

Dr. Burton double books patients & has no time for each patient.
