Dr. Allison Binnicker Hill, PhD

As an attorney (with over 30 years experience w custody litigation) who worked with Dr. Hill in a parent child situation, I unfortunately have to agree with many of the bad reviews written below. I found that she became belligerent and was actually rude to my client and I when we tried to tell her about our experiences with the other parent. She did keep interrupting us, and she was very defensive, abrasive and abrupt. We had proof of everything we alleged, but she just didn’t want to hear it. Then a few months later, she called us in a panic, advising that we needed to get an emergency restriction of the other parent’s visitation. We had warned her from day one, but she refused to listen. Her lack of a good gut instinct, her refusal to be neutral and open minded, could have caused the children harm. I would never use her again.

Take heed to the negative reviews you have read about Dr. Allison Hill. I did not - I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she comes across as understanding and compassionate at first. We were referred to her during divorce proceedings. During our time, she exposed private information to our kids that she had no right to. She created more problems, and seemed to thrive on the drama she created- all while criticizing our responses to here inept ability to do her job. She seems to have zero ability to relate to children (please don't send kids to her)- nor does she even seem to care about anything but the bills she sends. Her behavior was petty, immature, and narcissitic. Most of the sessions were about her and how she felt about everyone involved- which was not only unhelpful, it was bizarre. These poor reveiws were NOT written by people who had a negative legal outcome and are trying to take revenge (as was the explanation given to me when I inqured about negative reviews). I now… understand these to be accurate reviews. I did NOT have a negative legal outcome (though Dr. Hill tried her best create one for me), and this was my experience. Avoid at all costs!

I've been to co-parenting classes when I went through my divorce 11 years ago, marital counseling with 2 different counselors, attended some counseling sessions with one of my daughters, etc. and this psychologist is hands down the worst I've ever worked with. I wish I had read the reviews before meeting with her (she was recommended to us by our daughter's therapist) or I wouldn't have wasted my time and money. She was horribly unprofessional. In my first meeting with her, she dropped the F-bomb twice. I don't know if she thought she was just being cool or what. On the second visit which was a co-visit with my ex-husband (we are seeing her for co-parenting sessions), she yelled at me for mentioning a medical diagnosis that my daughter has received from 2 psychiatrists, a pediatrician, a pediatric nurse practitioner, and 2 licensed physicians! The diagnosis is even in our daughter's IEP for school. She then told me I'm not allowed to mention the diagnosis in our sessions. She… interrupted me repeatedly, didn't really listen to what I was saying and it was obvious she was already biased because she doesn't "believe" in the medical diagnosis because it's "controversial". We're not in these sessions to debate a medical diagnosis. We are coming to her for help in co-parenting our children through our disagreements and contentious relationship. I walked away from that feeling like that session wasn't about helping us, but more about her personal beliefs regarding one of my daughter's medical diagnoses! And again, that's not why we are seeing her. She's not a medical doctor and we're not seeking help in how to treat our daughter for all of her diagnoses. She's also the most expensive psychologist I've ever seen. My first invoice was $490! $350 per hour is her fee. If she actually listens to me in our next session and refrains from expressing her personal biases about something unrelated to why we are seeing her, and can show some respect and professionalism I would be willing to change this review, but my first impression was pretty strong!

Stay away, She is awful and in·com·pe·tent and should not be in this profession.

I was referred to Dr. Hill for help with a painful family situation. She was so great. She helped me see the situation in a different light and empowered me to take action I wasn't able to do without her help. In so doing, my family and I are finally on the path to healing! I also want to add that Dr. Hill is highly regarded in the legal community as an expert in her field. And I believe she is worthy of that recognition.

If you are reading this review on Allison Hill in curiosity about hiring her....PLEASE read this and thank me later. Allison was hired in a custody case we filed due to "Parental Alienation" obviously occurring by the biological mother and her family. Our child has shown clear signs of Alienation Syndrome that he continues to suffer from to this day. The original parenting plan was set when the child was a year old and was clearly supposed to be modified as he got older. After many years attempting to get the parenting plan changed to allow for more visitation we were constantly hit with "NO". After numerous signs of alienation our son then told us that when he turned 18 he was going to "legally change his last name"....how would a 5 year old even know this? We decided to file a modification with the court. Usually you see fathers not paying their child support and not wanting more time with their children. In our case the father clearly pays support and shows up for everything… with his son. The court assigned Allison to our case to work on behalf of our child. We only read all of the terrible reviews on her after it was too late. BIG mistake! This woman is a joke and is clearly ONLY driven by money! FYI we paid her over $12,500.00 with an outstanding $5,000.00 she tacked on after her work was done. She only interviewed 2 people from a list of about 30 that we gave her to speak to who have actually seen us parent. The 2 people she spoke with were called AFTER her verbal report on her findings was complete. She interviewed about 8 people for the mother whom NONE had ever witnessed our interactions with our son. It appeared that she was more interested about hearing all the drama associated with the divorce (7 years ago) than actually seeking the best interest of our child. She NO Showed on appointments, only reached out to us in search of payment (even while on maternity leave), never contacted over 25 people who had written character letters on our behalf (probably never even read them), she was egotistical, became threatening unless she received monies during the case, lazy, bias and frankly unethical! She never once even acted concerned for the well being of our son who is OBVIOUSLY showing signs of alienation from his mother. It was clear after we questioned her on her outrageous bill that she was holding a grudge and was using her authority to hurt us. We have been traumatized by her actions and the only one suffering is our son. I would run as fast as I could from this woman! READ all her reviews....they are TERRIBLE! She should never be allowed to work in this capacity! How she is still allowed to perform these duties by Fulton County is insane to me, but it's my mission to tell as many people about her as possible! Please be forewarned….she is very dangerous.

Allison literally did not show up for two appointments which is unprofessional in any practice. She had no clue she was supposed to be there when her assistant called her and she was out of the office. Instead of taking full responsibility for her mistake she tried to shift blame when this was exactly what she was counseling us not to do to each other. Also, instead of affirming the few times we found common ground with each other, she sowed dissent by pushing her own personal ideologies which did not match ours. She also had a meltdown when I fired her, she should at least be able to control her own emotions.

Allison Hill by far is one of the worst therapists out there. She is wicked and revengeful. She does not care about the child and likes to pin one parents against the other. She should not be in this profession. All she wants is money. She will adjust her story depending on who is paying. Never hire her she is the worst.

Dr. Hill, whose work around custody evaluations is extraordinarily difficult, is skilled, knowledgeable, kind, and clear-eyed. She does a remarkably good job of staying objective and fair and conveying her--this is no small task, given that one party is likely to be unhappy with the outcome that her evaluation points toward. We were deeply impressed with her and would recommend her without reservation.

Allison Hill is a arrogant and biased therapist. She's not interested in seeking the truth. She has a God-complex and is only interested in making accusations. She's vindictive and a liar. I have caught her lying on several occasions. She needs to be reported to the ethics committee. Should not have a license to practice. Her interest is not in the children, but trying to take sides and point fingers. Let this be a warning to any parents out there who want to take their kids to see her. You will regret it if you go to her.
