Beware. I found this office completely irresponsible. I was prescribed imiquimod cream for Actinic Keratoses 2 times a day. The fine print which I didn't read in package, recommends 2 times a week!! And then wash off after 8 hours. It has left me with terrible scabs and possible scars. I used this cream for 8 days 2 times a day as prescribed. I went back and saw the nurse practitioner. She said the cream was doing what it was supposed to do and just discontinue it and put on desonide cream which should counteract. It has been a week now, and I still have horrible scabs. I feel that the prescription was totally wrong, with no warning or explanation of why it was prescribed daily!! Do not trust this doctor for full information or correct information!!

Beware!!!! They are extremely unprofessional and irresponsible and it was a nightmare seeing her. They made all sorts of mistakes and recommendations. We talked to several other physicians, and all of them think Mercer Island Dermatology recommendation is wrong and unprofessional. Here's the detailed experience: My family member is having several hair falling issues. The first time, we saw them mid-last year, the doctor seems to care much our the patient and said everything was fine, and told us to leave. However, after several months, the hair loss problem got worsen. We went back to them again, and they said everything was fine. Nothing needs to worry about. We insist to do a test. The test result came back with severe issues, but they again said everything was fine and gave us a cream to put on her head. However, after applying the cream, not only did the hair falling issue was not resolved, it got worse again. We saw them again, and they told us everything was fine. Not a big… deal. They refused another blood test. We questioned several times why the hair falling issue worsen, and we insist on a blood test again. They finally agreed and when the 2nd result came up, there were even more severe issues with the blood report. Then they told us that they will refer us to the gastroenterologist at Seattle Children's Hospital. They told us that the referral will be processed immediately, and we can contact Seattle Children's Hospital in a few days. It was 2/2 when the referral was sent, and it has been 25 days and we kept calling Seattle Children's Hospital, but in the end, no referral was done. They are just very unprofessional and irresponsible. After calling them several time and waiting on hold for over an hour, their staff Dylan Nelson was able to help me and check with Seattle Children's Hospital. However, the gastroenterologist doctor at Seattle Children's Hospital told us it was "strange" that they would refer a hair loss patient to them, and refused to see us. We went to see another physician, and the new physician said the recommendation provided by Mercer Island Dermatology was completely wrong and unprofessional. After spending almost 6 months dealing with Mercer Island Dermatology, we are left with nothing but a more severe hair loss problem. And they are charging us over $200 for less than 20 min and consultation (and completely wrong recommendations!). Moreover, the physician doesn't have the Dr. title, and I don't even know if she has the proper license to see patients. Please be aware!!

My daughter and granddaughter first had care from dr allison hughes and continue to have total confidence. Ok! Then me grandma it makes me proud my next generations are so smart to go to dr hughes lucky luckier luckiest

I am thrilled with care I recede ivied from Dr. Huges; she is compassionate and caring along with being highly competent in her medical care. I was travelling to Mercer Island from BC, Canada and received treatment only available in the USA.

Dr. Hughes is very knowledgeable and skilled at what she does. I came to her a few years ago with a pretty severe skin condition that I was certain would leave me scarred for life. She suggested an entirely different type of treatment that, while not the most pleasant experience, completely resolved the condition with no scarring and no recurrence. I trust her with my skin more than anyone else!

I'm a pretty frequent user of fillers, but hadn't tried Perlane; and had never had the cheeks done (apples). I went to a fantastic derm that did the Perlane today and I am amazed and so pleased with the results. I only used one vial in the apples of my cheeks, and it took 10 years off my face. I didn't think I had that much volume loss, but man, did this little bit make an incredible difference. I would highly recommend this!

DO NOT see this doctor!! She did a laser treatment on my face and it was the worst experience of my life. She told me I would be recovered in 10 days. It took months, and I was left with scars on my face after she promised me several times there would be no scars. After all of this I asked her to refund the money I paid for the procedure ($2,000). She refunded to give me the refund. She "seems" like a nice person, but she is a horrible doctor and person.

This was the worst experience I ever had with a doctor!! She barely even looked at the bump before determining it was a mole and recommending that I get the problem lasered off. She seemed very rushed to recommend this surgery. During the prep of the surgery, the bump actually feel off. She had it tested in the lab and found out it was something else. I can't believe I almost went into surgery after a misdiagnosis!!Later, I was billed for the procedure. When I asked why I was being charged for a procedure that never occured (since the bump fell off without the laser removal), she panicked and said that she didn't even have a laser removal system in her office and said that I had made up the entire story! Even though I had seen the laser myself and was in the room to have the bump removed!Overall, my general impression of her is very unprofessional and I would not recommend her.
