Dr. Allison Kaplan, MD

I went to see Dr. Kaplan for foot pain earlier this year. Without even looking at my foot she told me "to buy new shoes and the problem would go away." I have had foot pain most of my life due to flat feet, but knew this was something different. After asking repeatedly, she finaly signed an order for an x-ray (which ended up being written for the WRONG foot so I had to wait another week to get that straightened out.) Went in for my xray and never heard back from the office. I finally called in and was told by a nurse in a very rude manner that my xray was fine....no follow up from Dr. Kaplan whatsoever. Months later I couldn't handle the pain anymore and went to see a different doctor who told me right off the bat that he could see an obvious deformity in the foot. He sent me to a specialist who told me "you don't need to be a doctor to see something is wrong." He took xrays which found an extra bone in my foot that was causing the extreme pain and tendon problems. I am now scheduled… for surgery to get it fixed. I am grateful for doctors who actually listen and get to the root of a problem. I am wondering if Dr. Kaplan even looked at my xray? I wasted time, money, and months of pain because she didn't take the time to do her job. I understand that doctors don't know all the answers, but common courtesy and attention to details should be a must. I will never return to this practice!

I've had out of control HBP for 48 years and Dr. Kaplan had in in control in 1 year and a half. She's very quiet and is confident. I have a multitude of issues and she has taken the time to treat them one at a time since they all require medications.

Although its a busy office, She takes time with patients, gets issues resolved. You may have to wait but its because she is actually thorough.
