My husband and I had a video chat with Dr. Rosen who was recommended by an IVF clinic and it was the worst experience of our lives. It was so bad that we both care to never speak to another psychologist or therapist again. It was basically $300 to have her read to us her children's book she wrote that was about what to tell ur child where she came from. We didn't know if she was trying to get us to buy it or what. We expected to discuss the stress of going thru multiple cycles of IVF and maybe suggestions on how to cope. I don't know, anything would have been better than what we heard.

I went into therapy with Allison at the lowest time in my life. She listened deeply and was incredibly warm, kind and supportive. She helped me become whole and move on.

After contacting Dr. Allison Rosen for a couple's therapy for addressing the husband's fear about going through an IVF for the second time, Dr. Allison Rosen decided to see my husband alone, without me. During the meeting she pointed out that the chances of having a healthy and probable pregnancy in my age (45), even with IVF, are very low, and recommend to my husband to not push himself to do what he is not ready to do, but, if he wants to have a baby later on, he can use younger woman’s donor eggs instead of my eggs. That is something we have never mentioned or considered before. So my husband now decided he is in no hurry to have a baby, and we are separating… I feel betrayed by Dr. Rosen.
